Yeah, Barry said the recession was over due to his brilliant economic policies. I guess not everyone got the memo.

Didn't you get the memo? The stimulus package is only for inner-city areas and union shops. Clark's was neither.

For those of you who have never been to Clarks you can't imagine the food or people. They serve dinner family style with plenty of food. The desert is included with the meal. For a reasonable price you get a 1/2 of chicken, salad, mash potatoes, vegetable, rolls and homemade desert. It's true homemade style food and dining with friendly staff. One of the only places left I know of. It will indeed be greatly missed.

Hi Topper

I say your comment about the Nutcracker. The only time I went there I had a hamburger and something they called "chips". Terrible food! We spent as much money for that as we did a full meal at Clark's.

I don't go there often but my parents took me and my brother there on Sunday's as a special meal when we were kids. I've taken my son there and he loved it. The staff was extremely kind to him and it just made for a nice meal. I hate to hear they are closing and wish the best for the owners and all the employees.

Please raise the price. I'll pay more. It's the only place around here with decent, southern fried chicken.

Sounds fishy. The place is always packed when I go. Maybe he just wants to retire.

The veggies and potato buds were not very good but the chicken was da bomb.

We go about once every 2 months. Nice stop on the way to visit the Dawes Arboretum.

This is also for CSD and NOBAMA Your man lost, the election is over, so why don't we just all move on. You are either part of the solution or part of the problem. If you are part of the problem, then just pick the country where you would rather live and I'm sure I can arrange a one-way plane ticket for you to get there. Trust me, you will not be missed by those of us in the middle.

Rural areas are usually conservative and republican and republicans don't want the government to do anything for them. So, they didn't.

Not exactly rocket science.

This is so very sad. My family started going to this restaurant in the 1950's. We celebrated many birthdays, anniversaries and Mother's Days there. We love you Clark's Dining Room. We will miss you!

I agree with you Eugene C. This is not about Obama. Stop whining. Obama never said the recession was over. Who was in for the previous eight years and only exacerbated the problem? Look up that word if you don't understand.

It will be missed by many. If you don't have time to make the trip to Jacksontown or don't want to wait in the lines that will surely be there as folks go for one last time, just think of it as the antithesis of a Corporate Restaurant.

You must be the owner of The Nutcracker. Clark's is in a totally different category, a much better one.

Daily Horoscope for December 23

Capricorn

Get out your list of things to do, because you're in a very industrious and efficient mood. Start with whatever is most urgent and then carry on from there. If you seem to be doing all the work while loved ones laze around watching TV, you'll soon chivvy them along and get them to lend a hand. After all, you don't want to feel like Cinderella!
