Our sheriff needs to grow a set then use them to man up the nerve to see that 58 names are published in the paper. Don't pull a boner like last time show a little backbone.

Does anyone know if they have alredy served them? This 58 must be in with the 86. I never saw 86 people in the Crime Beat for sale. I saw maybe 10? Where are the others?

Too the Queen and Oak Tree according to the Grainger Today it looks like your ghostly sheriff has been doing a lot of haunting! The jail is so full the state has gotten involved. My godness he has been working or did those cells just fill up on their own?I bet thats why the 86 or 58 will have to wait their turn lol

Don't be throwing a party just yet. They will be back out as soon as YOUR JUDGE sees them in court. The jail is probably full because they house state inmates to make a few extra dollars. It certainly is not because they have caught all the drug pushers in Grainger County. I did say that Casper did at least get off his ass and do something, THIS TIME, I never said he has done enough though. Its getting close to election time. I guess he has to try and make a last minute push to try and save his job. He must have stoped by the unemployment office and saw the line waiting outside. He then thought about how hard it would be to buy groceries on unemployment. He and I do have one thing in common, we like to eat. You can bet the farm that Casper didn't fill all of those cells. State inmates will account for a lot of them. All Casper has to do for those is to make sure someone is there to sign the papers when the state drops them off. Celebrate your empty victory, for it won't be long until they are all let go. It will be like Don Gann, Sloan let him off with 2 years. He will probably be out and cooking it up and dealing again long before then. Just as this 56 will be, if they all get rounded up. I won't hold my breath.

DOING NOTHING our DA needs to get with it and give out harder verdicts not a slap on the hand. time served and fine and paper? that will not help the people who he serves. man up give them more time in jail and larger fines hell put them under the jail. make our city safer stop all the steling to buy drugs.tn. has the rep. of the meth cap of of all the us. DO SOMETHING EARN YOUR MONEY or step down and let someone who will. BK of granger.

Mostly the jail is overcrowded from housing other inmates from other counties for the money.. the rest are there because evidently the drug business is better there than on the street from the paper. And further more Casper couldn't find his way out of a paper bag, even loaded up with cheeseburgers!!!

yes i do agree on the sentenceing phase if you read criminal court in the rag we call a newspaper it seems the last name of the perp determines the punishment can you say politics?

We also know that when these people go into court to have their bonds set that their charges are often reduced. Sometimes a felony is reduced to a misdemeaner. Then when they go to court to have their cases heard, they are most all given the same sentence. Suspended to time served and probation. I have often thought that those words are the only words our judge is able to spit out. After you have been arrested for the same thing multiple times you should not get bond, you should not get probation. You should sit in a cell until moss grows on your ass. Maybe, then some of these people will learn. Punishment should be delt out. As it is these people are only learning to work a system that is flawed beyond repair. Justice is a joke in Grainger County.
