If any of you folks want an honest andfair man as your Sheriff, the cream of the crop is Don Jones. He started out as a janitor in 1975.In the 30 plus years at FCSD,he knows more about the inner workings than anyone on this list.He currently is the Chief Deputy and you won,t find a blemish on his career.I hold Don in high regards. He has always been for the underdog and shows no bias.A gentleman in every sense of the word!!

I have known Donnie for 35 years. He is the most honest, intelligent and decent man I know. He is a man of the utmost integreity and high moral standards. He is not a "showman" like JR Moore. If you want someone who has worked his way all the way to the top it would have to be Donnie. He has worked for everything he has. Including his education. He has a wonderful wife and two wonderful sons. He is very proud of all three. What a loss it would be to all of Franklin County to elect someone as counterfeit as JR Moore or either of the 2 other candidates who ran far behind Donnie in character, experience and education. I pray that the citizens of Franklin Count can see through JR Moore and vote for the man who deserves the job, Don Jones.

Far behind as you put it. Guess thats all in how you look at it. He's ahead in sour attitude and disgruntled disposition too. Does that add in your math too?

I only know 2 of the candidates. The other 3 may be fine people, I don't know much about them. It appears that you are the one with a sour attitude and disgruntled dipsosition. I do pitty you. No one could do the job that Don Jones has done without ruffling a few feathers. If you want someone who is alway "on" and always tells you exactly what you want to hear and best of all may throw you a free beer or two, at least until after February 3rd. Please vote for JR Moore. Sounds like he is your man. Obviousely when/if you ever spoke with Don Jones, he didn't tell you what you wanted to hear.

Elect anyone other than anyone who works presently in the Department. It is way past time for a change. If you live in Franklin County you need to pay attention and listen hard. Your safety depends on it.

Your safety depends on it. Sooo. You want us to elect a person who RETIRED with a great pension from a state agency to run the county for another pension? Other than retiring did he amount to much with that agency? What about his business sense? Well, try to buy lumber on the southend of Benton and that will answer that. And he's been out of law enforcement how long now? Yep. Sounds like the guy for the job! NOT!

Who cares who gets elected? It's not like the FCSO does anything anyway, they don't "serve and protect", all they do is squander tax dollars by over-paying a bunch of incompetent fools who would never make it as "deputies" in any other county. No matter who gets elected it will be the same ole song and dance that its been for the past 30+ years that I've lived here. Just turn all LE actions over the the ISP. They're the only ones who do anything around here anyway.

You've lived here thirty years and you still don't know all the State Police does is write speeding tickets? The sheriff's dept. does more law enforcement than any city or state agency in Franklin County. You're a little incompetent yourself.

I work with 4 of the candidates, and I can honestly tell you that Don Jones is the man for the job. He deserves it, and would make one hell of a sheriff. No, I am not an incompetent fool. He cares about the citizens of the communities he serves. He also cares for the people he works with. He thinks it is time for a change, and I deeply agree. If you go to his web site, you can see for yourself the training and education that he has received throughout his life. I am proud to know such a man and work with someone as professional as him. Thank you!

The current administration needs to be completely overhauled. The best option is to do that with someone who already works there, but has no position of authority w/in the dept at this time. That narrows the field down to JR Moore, DT Richardson or Mark McDaniel. JR's track record SHOULD speak for itself, leaving any logical person with a choice of DT or Mark. Both men have good ideas for change and either would make an excellent sheriff. Personally, I'm supporting McDaniel. We need someone who will not bow down to the powers-that-be and who will run the dept in a fairly and make it an agency that deserves respect among it's peers.

Any logical person knows that each candidate is going to vote for themselves. There's really no reason for you to talk your self up.

The only way McDaniel has "not bowed down" or "bucked the system" is by being a good old fashioned "back stabber". He's a jerk!

I tell you the main thing that will hurt McDaniel's is his parents. They live in a glass house and do nothing but throw stones. Nobody is safe and they are better than all....one piece of bs gossip and they have you on the fast track to hell sprouttin horns..

I am fairly new to the area and have been researching each candidate. After going to there websights, seems like Don Jones is the best candidate. Most qualified and the best educated.
