It's not just the cops. It's in the Courthouse, too. Probably, throughout the County(See School Board blogs). If you know the Barry Kohl situation, another example. Now, tell me Mr. Kohl was the only one who knew he was misappropriating funds(and I'm not talking about the one who initiated the investigation).

As far as the Courthouse goes, if you are given a charge and you go to Court, the States Attorney and your Public Defender(unless you can hire an attorney) do the little pow wow thing to determine what your punishment will be, right? What I am seeing is, whether you are actually innocent or not, the Public Defender comes back and says, "this is what you get, sign on the little pink peice of paper" and even if you tell him that you know this is not legally correct, he will not help you(without twisting his arm), which is a violation of your Constitutional Rights. You have a right to due process of the law.

I have even seen paid attorneys sell people out. Truthfully, if you don't know what the law truly is(which is your attorney's job paid or not) then how can you contest or even know that you can contest? Again, I am not saying this is every individual who work in these entities but it is wide spread. And, in my opinion, we as a whole(society) need to stand up and see to it that these people do their jobs correctly. If they do not want to do their jobs correctly, then they should move(or be moved) over and let someone who will do the job correctly, have the position and paycheck and stop waisting our tax monies. That is what they are paid to do, not sit around doing the coffee and donut thing, create and issue inappropriate "no trespass orders" nor sit around in the back office chit chatting. Believe me, I can provide more examples and yes specific examples, of what I am saying, but I would be here typing for a very long time.

I'm not even sure who is on our police force, I know Tharp is, but I can't name any more. I don't think our mayor will be elected again, but I have thought that before. WF is a mess and is going nowhere. We are too worried about the good old boys. We need to get rid of a lot of our governing fathers and get some people in who don't have hidden agendas. Who is going to report on the police? The police? I have watched Benton get ahead and they are doing much better than us and I would think that would have to be their city government. I'm sure if there is wrongdoing going on at the P.D.they all just look the other way. That is why WF doesn't prosper!

In my opinion, Monica does a great job dealing with the huge amount of dead beats that live rent free in our public housing! Don't give someone grief about their job, unless you know exactly what they do. Believe me, it's not an easy job! Our town has gone to pot with all of the drug use and deadbeats moving in.

You are just a ray of sunshine on every thread. If she was doing her job our housing wouldn't look like the ghetto! We have the worse looking housing around and everyone, including Monica, knows it.Can we say inspection?

She cannot personally clean everyone's apartment. Do you want all of them out on the street? Why don't you volunteer to clean up the housing if you are so bothered by it.

I don't think that would be my responsibility, I work full time and do my job. This is what she gets paid for, to inforce the codes of the public housing. That means inspections and if there are violations they need to be taken care of and inforced. I truly think you do not have a clue what you are talking about. If you are such a fan get your behind out there and help her. Maybe she'll take you shopping and to lunch.
