Top Cop on Administrative Leave

I think Lt.Partridge should have been arrested just like anybody else that has broken the law. He has been on the force for that many years,he should have known better, it just goes to show you,that there are problems within our police force.

I agree that Lt. Partridge should have known better, should have been accountable like the general public, and should have been arrested on the spot instead of driven home like a he was above the laws, but it is good to see that Greathouse is at least admitting there are problems in his force and is trying to address the problems. I just wonder if we will ever hear the outcome of the investigation or if it will be swept under the rug and if that outcome is the punishment an ordinary citizen would have gotten.

It has been about 7 weeks since this drunk drving incident happened, and nothing appears to have been done so far. Why is the Chief or the City Manager allowing this to go on without charging this man or firing him? He should not have special privileges just because he wears a badge. How many people has he pulled over and put behind bars for doing the same thing he did? People like this give our local law enforcement a bad name, but leaders who sit by and do nothing about it make it even worse. How do they expect the citizens to respect them? If this man is left on the force, how could he ever justify pulling over a drunk driver in the future and charging him when he got away with doing the very same thing?! This is truly sad. Hopefully someone will wake up soon and serve justice on this criminal before he ends up killing one of our children on the road one night.

I would expect this officer to be treated just as if it were me or any other citizen. No one should receive special treatment. If so, I will be planning to drive while intoxicated this Friday night, I would like to request the "Partridge" plan; free ride home, no citation, paid leave from work...HOT DIGGITY DAWG!!!

i don't understand why its taking so long on what suppose to be an investigation that was already what you call cut and dry. he broke the law and we still pay his salary. upson county think about this its all a cover for one of their own. we as citizen of upson should demand that he be charge and fired.

how do we know if this man was dui. From the looks of things there is no evidence. Maybe a bumble bee was in his pants and he swirved of the road or maybe he hit a bump and wasted hot coffee on himself.

Concerned citizens of Upson County, ask your police chief, city mgr.,or your mayor as to why it's been since December 27th and no action has been taken against dirty cop. Keep in mind that-doing nothing-is the decision that dirty cops upper mgt. has made as of today! Local tax payers of Upson County are still having to foot the bill for dirty cop to remain on paid administration leave until they made a decision as what to do with this problem. Maybe it's time for the GBI to investigate this situation and help our local officials with a correct decision!

Yes, The Thomaston Police Department does have alot of problems. They need to fire half of them. Go to Its Fashion on any saturday and there is one spending hours up there flirting with the workers.

The reason Michelle is talking about its fashion is because while the police is in there she cant steal her weekend outfit. The police need to be in more stores like Belk's and Wal Mart so the tax payers dosen't have to pay for the items that people like Michelle steal. While you think their flirting there watching you. Get a job!!!

I dont steal. Ask half of the people that come in there what he is doing. THe same officer goes to his girlfriends house in the projects in the city police car. Now what do you have to say.

Why don't the people of upson county fire the city mgr as well, he's allowing waste to be brought in and dumped, and claiming that they are being pd only half of what other's say they collect for this, wonder why so many people are sick? They were dumping behind avera estates, now who know's where they are dumping this so called rain water from other counties....and yes they should treat k.partridge like everyone else.

They probaly are!!! they will sweep this under rug, like they do everything else if it has to do with "someone" with a title, or a little Money....
They need to quit making examples of inocent people, and crack down on all people including dirty cops, lawyers and otherwise, who think they are better than anyone else.

i think the pardrige thing is done. i bet they have not released it yet. im sure the state has heard of what was going and would do something if the city didnt.and why is everyone shocked about how these citys are ran these days. you dont really think its going to be done like everyone wants do you? i think the citizens need to do thier part just like the city needs to do theirs. trust me the citizens of thomaston are not angels for the most part, granted we do have some wonderful citizens. although i moved away i still have family and come back very often
