This was actually a weather balloon released by Al Gore, who is very bored and still seeking hard evidence of global warming.

Littering plain and simple. I always cringe when I see balloon releases at funerals, celebrations, or in this case a wedding. People, businesses, and or organizations should be fined for releasing them. Besides, its so lame, what is inspirational about watching a piece of latex float away?

There should be an additional tax put on the estate tax in order to cover the costs of pollution of all think it's "cute" to pollute Mother Earth just because some old Republican white man dies. This is a sad, pathetic story. They released them at liberal paul wellstones memorial. keep being racist.

I hate when writers do this....they reference people but either don't include their full name or make no attempt to explain how they factor into the story.
Just who is Judy Taylor in this whole story? Mother of one of the wedded parties?? Church member?? Bum on the street?

Forgive my son for being stupid. I told him he would go blind and grow hair on the palms of his hands but did he listen to me? Of course not. I should have mailed him away in a balloon a long time ago. ps. Tom, pull the shades on your window you're scaring the neighbor kids Love Mom Tom wrote: Littering plain and simple. A few years ago I went to a funeral for a three year old little boy. He absolutely LOVED balloons. At the cemetery everyone was given a balloon and we all released them while his favorite song played on a little cd player. It was beautiful and so symbolic. Maybe if you witnessed something like that you would feel differently.
