How Many Churches Do We Need?

It is amazing to drive around this or any other community and see the number of churches. It goes to show that nobody agrees.How many denominations do we need to represent one god? If you took the money it takes to build and maintain these hundreds of structures and pooled it together just think of the good that could be done in any community. An empty building benifits nobody. They could build a strip mall church with all the denominations in their own "store" and save money,space,land,and resources. Then as a whole they could do a better job helping gods people.

It isn't just the number of churches that bother me, it's the amount of meetings, bible study, bible school, preaching, religious gatherings of all nature that get to me. If religion is "faith" it sure seems to need a hell of a lot of reinforcement or is all that great faith just weak?

My point was that if the religion among us are so filled with "faith" then why do they need so frequent and constant reinforcement of their faith.

Well this is something at is so annoying. My spuse and I drive by and a resaurant or auto mechanic shop etc is a new church. We just laugh. This area has some seriou8s problems with drugs and jobs. And all that is offered to everyone is more churches? With the amount of churches that is already here and to add more, just ridiculous. If the number of churches that where here 10 years ago didnt help the area, how will more help. People need jobs. Shopping, entertainment, Ymca,more eating establishments. This I believe would truly help the community. Keep the youth away from drugs[meth] and give them something to do and some money in their pockets.The basic three here, Family, church, and school.It doesnt seem to produce much posotive. How about a community college with some fun classes.Not ag and nursing . Those are important. The thing lacking is fun. Put more churches in to suppress people?? Can anyone give me an example of something fun to do here. Excluding a church, bar, school, family or sports?I sure would like a starbucks about now.Take my laptop down and enjoy a nice frappaccino and peaceful atmosphere.You know they always have some great blues or jazz playing. Sorry, Im daydreaming.
