1 Yes I know and you are right, But someone is trying to make it sound like it was only Republicans that did not serve by givin a B.S. incomplete list. Kind-a like the liberal press does, Tell you just the part they want you to here. |

This would have been a good post IF you would have left out the name OBAMA. |

the next few posts will be in response to the 1st post. You might want to check your facts. I checked on current senators only. You say Mitch McConnel & Lindsay Graham never served. You are wrong. Mitch McConnel was in the U.S. Army Reserves & served 6 months active duty. That counts for our reserves today so that should count for him too. |
||||
|
Lindsay Graham enrolled into the Reserve Officers Training Corps. after high school. At the age of 21, his mother died. 15 months later, his father died leaving him and his younger sisters orphans. The service allowed him to attend University of Carolina so that he could be near home to raise his little sisters whom he adopted. In 1982, Graham joined the U.S. Air Force and served active duty until 1988. He then joined the reserves and is still in the reserves. He has served in Iraq & Afghanistan both. Both times he served as a defense lawyer for our troops.

Joe Biden's son is there to PROCECUTE OUR TROOPS as a lawyer. Sarah Palin's son is there serving in the infantry. There are 47 democrat senators in office now that have never served. Vice-president Joe Biden received 5 student draft deferments from 1963-1968. In 1968, he was able to get a doctor to diagnois him with asthma. This made him disqualified for service.

Another democrat senator who did not serve flunked 2nd grade. His name is Micheal Bennet. Democrat Bernie Sanders is a self described socialist. Those are his words, not mine. Thirty republican senators did not serve compared to 47 democrat senators. Ten republican senators did serve. Eleven democrat senators served if you count reserves.

Ted Kennedy served from 1951 - 1953. His father used political connections to make sure he stayed out of Korea. Poor little Ted served his tour in the dangerous city of Paris, France. What a hot spot that was. John Kerry was a spokesman for Veterans Against Vietnam. Two of his purple heatrs were for minor injuries. One to the left upper arm and one to the left leg, which were so minor that he never missed a day of active duty. His third was for a piece of shcapnel to the butt. I'm really not impressed. You can check everything out on the government's web site.

Lindsay Graham enrolled into the Reserve Officers Training Corps. after high school. At age 21, his mother died. Fifteen months later, his father died leaving him and his little sisters orphans. The service allowed him to attend University of Carolina so he could be close to home to raise his sisters whom he adpoted.
