hi im a shrimper in texas city and just wanted you to know that the dike is still there but the buildings on the dike are gone the lighted pier and curls bait camp,right along with anitas bait and tackle well they are telling me that 2 miles of the road is wiped out. so hope we can rebuild but the city of texas city is saying we can not rebuild well hope this helps you some, have a great day.

What about the area around BP Amoco and all the restaraunts on the main drag? Did they suffer any damage? I used to live in the apartments next to Dennys coming in to Texas City.

Glad Texas City didn't have worse damage. I heard that 6 inch more and water would have gone over the levee. Have family in T.C.

I was born and raised in TC, and i have strong ties to the TC Dike, My grandfather helped to build it, i sure hope its repaired soon, Diane
