At least it's not Greene County (IN) where they made conjugal visits between cells by crawling between the ceilings. They were found "Not Guilty" of escape as they "never left the jail."

When I was in jail there was only "vent" sex . Not phone sex, not sexting , but speaking through a vent on the wall to men on the other side . Thank God I wasn't in there long enough to try that , but sure did (without wanting to ) witnessed it ! It's way too hard not to laugh at crap like that .

Phinneas:

When that GC jail 'break' first happened I posted an Indystar (or TV weblink) link here in Offbeat somewhere. I was tempted to re-do for fresh discussion, but too lazy.

It seemed that jail discipline/punishment would have sufficed at Bloomfield; and that the GC prosecutor reached much for escape charges and trial. I agree with that verdict.

I agree as well - it was not escape in the truest sense of the law - they never left the secure building (jail). The prosecutor was a bit over zealous - I think we all may have learned something from it.

The design firm of Larry, Moe, and Curly was responsible for the flaw, although an associate named Shemp is said to have-had a hand in this unfortunate situation as-well. When lead architect Curly was asked if the alternations will be finished on-time he thought for a minute than blurted-out "SOUTENLYYY!"

Glad you found Offbeat; I follow it almost every day.
I used to enjoy listening to Doctor Demento on the so-called 'underground' FM stations in the late sixties and beyond; I guess we both enjoy a 'warped sense of humor'.
