How could she not know that her pot-smoking roommate's brownies were laced with -- uh -- pot? Not too credible.

Come on! It sounds like an honest mistake. How many kids from an older generation took too many sips from cocktails at family gatherings, before adults realized what was happening? Not good, kids learned, adults became more vigilant, cps wasn't called in. Move on. We are talking marijuana, not meth, lsd, heroin or prescription drugs. This should never have ended up in court. I'm sure the other is totally chagrined and the child more traumatized than needed by the over hype of school and authorities.

no, it wasn't but i will guarantee you, the child was probably traumatized more by school officials and CPS than any effects of the brownie. Im ust asking to keep it in perspective and not go nuclear everytime something is less than perfect. The child is now fine, the mother knows and has been warned. move on.
