There's always at least one inconsiderate, disrespectful, "I'll do as I danmed well please" azszhole on every block in every neighborhood.

I was thinking the same thing. I hope the negative publicity at least embarrasses him, his friend, and perhaps his brother who's leasing the house to him, but it sounds like they're too pig headed to be shamed into moving out or changing their behavior.

The only silver lining here is that Novato's noise ordinances may be up for review, which could benefit the rest of us who have "one" on our block.

and we wonder why our kids (teens particularly) behave the way they do. Knowing all these people involved, who are parents of teens themselves, it is surprising that they behave this way and are so righteous in their actions - I feel for the neighbors and wish these people would grow up - again I say this knowing ALL parties involved and have heard both sides

These are the idiots who rigged up a urinal in the back yard which ran through a storm drain to the street. Maybe the Novato code enforcement folks can check into that.

These neighbors are friggin nuts...these "guys" are doing absolutely nothing wrong...I have been there, my husband has been there and it is a great group of guys who hang out there. They are doing nothing wrong in the privacy of their own garage. This is not going on at all hours of the night. They are more often than not, done and gone by 7pm on a weekend and earlier on weeknights. They have long standing jobs who show up every day to their jobs. I also know these "neighbors", who proclaim to be so "upstanding". Let me tell you about underage drinking going on at one house...wow...people who live in glass houses should definitely not throw stones...

these men are doing nothing wrong. These neighbors should be happy that they live next to a white person, and not an illegal alien with 20 kids in one house. I have been to this house and I can tell you these men are hard working people that have families of their own that need to let off some steam. the neighbors should get off their butt and stop watching tv and take their kids to the park. My neighbors one time, mexicans, played loud music and drank all day but noone said anything to them, or even seemed to care. give the guys a break!

No, you're wrong. I've heard from many parents at San Ramon school that this house and the people in it are perceived by families in the neighborhood as a threat to their children. The situation has been going for a long time and it's about time Novato PD puts an end to it. This statement says it all:

The slumlord needs to evict these morons and get some normal tenants in there. He may be a fire fighter but clearly a loser.

Firemen work ten or eleven days per month when they're not on disability. The owner has plenty of time to abate the problem.

Novato is a family town; scumbags like Creighton and Dagnino should leave now. Go have your parties somewhere else.

Obviously you guys don't know a damn thing about this, nor can you comprehend what the article said. It is not the tenants of the house that are doing this, dipwads. Its the owner who has a right to drink in his garage with his friends. The neighbor who had the underage drinking party and has the illegal second story on his house needs to keep his mouth shut. Talk about having Code Enforcement called. People need to mind there own damn business. And if they are drinking and driving don't you think the police would plant themselves on that street, since "this has been going on for years?"

I know these "idiot" men that are discussed in this article. I know their wonderful families, and I also know the pathetic neighbors that stooped so low to make sure an article was posted in the newspaper. These men go to work, pay their taxes (unlike some people), take care of their families, and sometimes go to a garage where all are legally allowed to drink, socialize, and yell about a stupid football game. When did it become a crime to drink with some friends? Some of these pathetic neighbors have a little too much time on their hands to be complaining so much about hearsay. If you have a problem, be a man and talk it out. These so called "upstanding" complainers better take a good hard look in the mirror and figure out if what they participate in and allow to go on in their "garages" is considered legal....the truth always comes out in the end, I guess it's only a matter of time...

I would sue the Marinij for including the home address in the article. The innocent person who rents this home could be possibly harmed in some way.
