72-year-old Temecula man fatally-injured while crossing against a red signal

Police are investigating why a 72-year-old Temecula man was fatally-injured while he was crossing a busy street against a red signal and struck by a car, a sheriff's deputy said.

They shut the street down for HOURS for this? It's sad, and I get having to investigate, but it was at least 5 hours in which I couldn't get home!!
