God rest her soul. Saturday evening a distaught women took her life, while three Deputies waited for her to put her makeup . We can only blame training by there great leader (Tim Guider) for this terrible occurence to have happened. Her father had already taken a gun off the women and the deputies are there for 40 minutes before the death occurred. They let the ill women go to the bathroom unattended and proceed to take out another gun she had on her person, and take her own life. Lets see how this one is handled by the great one Timmy Guider the cover-up is coming it always does. Wake up Tellico! time for someone to take charge of our law enforcement, time for a change.

Why were the deputies called instead of an e.r. squad? I didn't see a news story about this, but if she was able to mention that she wanted to put on makeup, it seems she could have been helped more by paramedics. Just curious. And yes, such a sad, but yet selfish act. What was this woman's age?

Is Tim Guider responsible for all the crazies around here? If he is I want to talk to him about my Uncle Alfie. If Guider causes things like Uncle Alfie, he should be run out of town on a flatbed railcar, naked, after having his manbeans stomped off in the gravels. But this lady sounds like she was on a mission, and if killing yourself is all you have on your mind, sooner or later you're gonna get it right. It's not Tim Guider's fault or any of his Deputies that she killed herself. Bad things just happen sometimes. It just isn't supposed to happen in "The Village." And when It does happen, you'll always have some poopskull like Captain Midsight pointing the finger at someone else for causing it. And in this case he was low enough to use her death as a soapbox to stand on in the next election. "Village People" do not impress me in the least. Where is The Scarecrow when you need him?

It is ludicrous to BLAME Tim or his deputies for this action. My sympathy to the family. Captain Midnight are you a Steve Cook backer by chance? If so shame on you!!!

I asked Uncle Alfie about Tim Guider, he grabbed a pickle and start waving it around for better reception, yellin "What's the frequency, Kenneth?" I suspect he knows more than he's letting on. I smell a cover-up.

Sounds like everything that happens til election day is going to be the Sheriff's fault. Well, go for it people, say what you want, but Mr. Cook is still not the man for the job.

Granted, this troubled woman, probably would've eventually killed herself. But having it happen while deputies are there in the house with her for 40 minutes or so is unforgiveable. They should NEVER have left her out of their sight; knowing her condition and knowing full well she had already made an attempt on her life only a short time ago that same morning. It's lucky she didn't kill a deputy in the process, which very easily could've happened.

It's nowhere in the news, Topix is the only place I can find anything about it. Did it really happen at all?

I really feel for the parents and family of this woman. Yes, it really happened.
The parents called 911 and the Sheriff's Department was called in to protect and save their daughter from killing herself. In the end, she did shoot herself, and while the deputies were there for 40 minutes or so,(after the first gun was taken away by the woman's father, which happened before the deputies even got there)..
As I said before - with proper training they would have known NEVER to leave her alone and NEVER let her out of their sight.

Why hasn't it been reported by any of the news agencies?

Because it never happened. A made up story by a sick person.

I'd be inclined to agree with you were it not for another recent crime in The Village that remained unreported for weeks until the suspect turned himself in. He's now been charged with robbing the Food Lion. Not one news agency ever mentioned it until the suspect surrendered. Is there enough money over there to sweep anything under the rug? YES. Is it happening? I don't know, you tell me. But im certain if a suicide happened over on Eastside or Huntsville Hollow or down at The Crossroads, we'd had names and a motive before the body was cold. I may have been born on cartoon day but it wasn't last Saturday.

If it really took place, Van Shaver would have it on his website most likely. Good Point though considering the Food Lion incident was unreported.
