Bear Valley Gated Welfare Community

I have owned property in Bear Valley for well over 25 years. I recently returned to Bear Valley now that I am retired. I am shocked beyond belief at what has transpired in Bear Valley. The place is littered with RV’s and trailers on the yards. There are metal work sheds everywhere. When I built my home It as mandatory to have a closed structure for my RV., I had no problem with that rule but I do have a problem with it now. As far as I know, the rule still exists and the residents are not abiding by it and the rule is not being imposed. I was told where I could have my RV worked on in the Bear Valley. I drove by out of curiosity, sure enough, there is a home with a huge metal structure for the RVs, and the owner has RV’s that are being worked on along the side of his home for the plumbing. See for yourself, the home is on Jacaranda about ½ mile up on the left side. What has happened here? I found out that Bear Valley let some guy come in and over build and he couldn’t sell the properties so now we have sections 8 housing (welfare) in Bear Valley. This community has really taken a dump. I won’t be retiring here and if I can’t sell my property I’ll turn it into section 8 housing. This is the first gated welfare community I have heard of. I really don’t like the idea of paying my assessment for a welfare community.

I am the wife of the 'guy on Jacaranda' and I just wanted to let you know that we never have RV's along side of our home being worked on (other than our own, occasionally before and after a trip). A couple of times a year we do have my Aunt and Uncle's RV parked in a parking site next to our home (and yes, they are hooked up with water and electricity) and sometimes my cousin with her RV or my husband's sister with her RV. But this is usually only for a day or two and they are our guests - which is not against any rules. Our motorhome is kept in an RV garage that is attached to the house (Probably like yours is) We do have a metal workshop that sits well below our house and is not visible to the street and conforms to all of Bear Valley's building codes. I am sorry if you mistakenly thought that we work on motorhomes next to the house. We usually only get compliments on the steps we take to make our home a beautiful place.

Lorri, maybe Emma is not referring to your property since the property in question has a metal structure to facilitate a workshop for RV repair, it also is visible from Jacaranda Rd., it is on the lower part of the property. There are monetary transactions for repairs being performed on RV’s at the property. That is a fact, if it’s the same one that I’m thinking of. And for you Emma, why would you want to turn your home to section 8 and ruin it for the owners in Bear Valley. Instead, take the matter up with the BVSA. If you have proof of the RV repair shop, and you believe that it is prohibited in Bear Valley, you have the right to find out. Take all your information, pictures, witnesses and anything else that will validate your complaint to the BVSA office and file your complaint.

A person can find more information on the R.V. repair shop here in Bear Valley. Search Pure Power Dealers and scroll down to Tehachapi. An address and name that matches the same address as the one on Jacaranda will appear. Other types of R.V. services performed at this location besides the Pure Power products offered. If interested please contact owner for a pass to enter Bear Valley. Please do not mention that your R.V. is having repairs done at the private home. This type of operation is not allowed in Bear Valley Springs and we don’t want to be shut down.

I looked up the information and searched for the home on Jacaranda Rd. Needless to say, I observed an enormous metal structure on the property including R.V’s. parked on the property most likely in line for repairs. There was a R.V. parked along the side of the home facing Jacaranda Rd. with hoses attached to it and the home. Who authorizes this type of business to be performed in Bear Valley? I have a similar problem. My neighbor built the same type of metal structure for repairing junk cars, they are not his and he is making a profit from it. He spared himself from looking at the junk cars and his equipment from his home. Instead, he situated that huge metal repair facility to face my yard. My husband and I can hear his music; see him while he works on the junk cars from inside our home. We informed the BVSA of our concerns that the metal structure was an eyesore and a monstrosity; on our behalf, nothing was done. My home was for sale for quite some time and the only negative aspect was that ugly metal repair facility next door. I cannot comprehend why Bear Valley permits such unsightly metal sheds to be built in our private community.

Your relatives have many R.V.’s because for all the years that the R.V.’s have been coming to the property on Jacaranda it has been noticed that they are all different make, models, and years and they ALL have different license numbers. That is a lot of R.V.’s parked in that lower R.V. repair shop you have on the house property. Is it six that I counted? 4 hidden in the repair shop and was that 2 parked outside?

Did you forget the R.V.'s parked in back of the R.V. repair garage? Yes, the garage can house many R.V.'s, but what most of you don't see are the R.V.'s parked in the back. Since the Jacaranda propery has been exposed there are no longer R.V.'s parked close to the home, instead they are being driven to the repair garage. From my vantage point I can see them. They are being driven to the Jacaranda home in the evening. They also have an exit on Tiara Ct.

You folks need to get a life. I cant understand how you folks can go through life with such a stuck up outlook on others. With so many folks facing loss of jobs and homes I find it hard to understand why people like you would make a fuss about someone tring to make his bills with this type of work. Maybe he should stop and let the banks that our goverment bailed out forclose on him and let the locale comps come down even lower. I know it would be a perfect world if we all thought just like you. Just remember that we all contribute to this valley and as such we all should have a say as to which direction this comunity goes on whats allowed or not

There is another RV service on Columbia Way. So don't feel bad. I have to look at them come and go. Yes, ther is still a rule in the CC&R stating that the rv must be covered or at least hidden by trees or shrubs...

Your property looks like an RV park. If only you would take your repair business outside the gate. The RV’s and the repair “metal workshop” are visible from Jacaranda. Who are you trying to fool?

Oak Valley builders are taking over what the other guy started. Jacaranda will be known as "Welfare Row." The Oak Valley guy is hurting the home values of the BV residents that are close to his properties. He is building his homes in such a way to take the privacy away from the residents that happen to be next door to his building sites. And people are complaining about a homeowner that allows family and friends to visit with their motorhomes, I don’t get it.

Are you sure it it's not the same guy building? BVS is giving him the go ahead so there isn't too much anybody can do about it. I’m dealing with it now. The guy owns property all around my home and I’m worried every time he breaks ground.

This has been going on for years, since he moved to this location.

The RV’s are also being parked in the garage attached to his home besides the RV’s that are parked in and around that huge metal repair shop of his. I do not know what your vantage point is but I see everything that goes on at the property and I am tired of it. Bear Valley Springs is not some type of industrial park. I cannot figure out why this owner would bring that type of business here. It was clear to me when he built that house and the huge metal RV repair shop, and the RV’s started coming in one right after another that he had some type of business going on.
