You know there is much more to the festival then drug abuse its all about the people and the music and enjoying a bohemian community for a few days.

Oh man, that's a bummer. No more ordering from SeedPod anymore!

I thought the vibes festival was for women and their battery operated man replacement.

All my illusions shattered.

Not happy

I'm joking around, don't get bent out of shape. I'd be going to the Vibes if they had some bands I liked.

If these idiots with the pot had stopped for the weigh station, they might have gone through without any problems.

The War on Drugs has always been a losing battle. For every bust like this, there are probably a thousand that make it through and onto the streets. This is just another example of the fact we need Marijuana Reform NOW!(And Bridgeport is just the place to do it!!)
Developement and Financial problems would be solved.

The festival is the same as the Puerto Rican Day Parade except its the hippies leaving all the trash and turds on the ground instead. You come near my house with your hookah pipes, love beads and your tied dyed shirts and you'll get an old fashioned ass whippin'. GOD BLESS AMERICA

I agree with Amsterdam. The war on drugs is a joke. It has cost this country BILLIONS of dollars and for what? Since drugs were made illegal, they still continue to get into the country and always will. Drug Legalization is the way to go but the Government won't do it. Have you ever heard the saying "there is no money in the cure, when it comes to diseases? It's true, no? If there was a cure for cancer, or any disease who would need doctors, surgeons, nurses, pharmacutical companies etc? Same with drugs. The government legalizes drugs to the point where you would have to go to a Pharmacy to purchase them and it would be like a snowball effect. Think of how many people who would become unemployed. Judges, all of the people that work in court houses, Police officers, Attorneys, Corrections Officers, Parole and Probation officers, construction companies that build new prisons, all of the people that work in the prisons, the companies that make the concrete and bricks that would make up the prisons, and the list goes on and on and on. So many people would become immediately unemployed that the government has to keep drugs illegal in order to keep people employed.

It's about freakin' time that the Greenwich weigh station is open and being used! What a great story, Sarik kicked butt. The question is, how did these truckers make it from Cali to CT without getting stopped sooner? Wake up America's law enforcement agencies. Hint - station more K-9 patrols at weigh stations - THEY WORK! Also, the comment about the two truckers with the same last name left me doubled over, "it is believed that they may be related". You don't say - did you come up with that all by yourself you dumb ass reporter! Conn Post journalism at it's best.

Big deal, a load of Pot, it should be legal anyway. I'd like to see a big bust of some serious drugs like heroine, or meth.

Come on people. Don't you realize that the government allows drugs to enter this country. Now, I know they can't stop every single bit of drugs from getting across US borders but just like a few other people commented, for every truck that gets pulled over, 100 others make it through. Anyone ever think that the truck may have been a decoy? Let the truck with 55 pounds of pot get caught and while all of the troopers and their dogs are searching the truck and getting interviewed for the local news, 5 cars loaded with cocaine and heroin drove right past them. I bet the drivers of the truck get bailed out of jail by the weekend. If they do, you know it was set up.

Good job done by the troopers, but now that i read what everyone else writes made me think, yeah, there may be 100 more trucks passing by with illegal drugs too. The government needs to revamp what they are doing if they "really" want to get rid of the drugs.
