Remains found in Death Valley may be those of four German touri...

At least this will be some closure for the families involved...thoughts and prayers to them as they deal with the aftermath of this tragic loss...:)

They dont call it "death valley" for nothing

What they don’t say is the two men who found the remains were in fact out looking for the German family. They are search and rescue volunteers. They worked together using information from previous searches to guide them. They were very lucky to make this find and we owe these men a very large debt. Hikers don’t just go into Death Valley for a 40 to 50 mile walk in search of lost people. Give thanks to two guys that didn’t give up the search.

My uncle just emailed my dad this page and my parents were shocked. The Conny in this article was her best friend and roommate. my parents told me about their memories of her and her son max. my parents remember when they went hiking with her and her son rode around on my dads shoulder before I was born. My mom remembered all of the fun they used to have together when they were roommates. They have always hoped and suspected that she was still alive and that she was escaping from the large debts she owed numerous people. since the day i was born we have always had a painting hanging in our living room that was drawn by her and after discovering a book in which her disappearance was speculated about i became very interested in her story. I never thought that the bodies would ever be found. My family thanks the people who found their remains and our condolences to the family members who now have to revisit their grief from all those years ago.

Seems to me that if those remains have been sitting around Goler Wash for the past 13 years, all the law enforcement personnel and they're cadaver dogs last year should have come across something . Also,if the german guy got his rental car stuck in the sand,why would he keep going in the direction away from civilization instead of going back the way he came,where he knew he could get help? in 120 degree heat? All the attention that Charlies GRAVEYARD got, there were tons of people poking around Goler Wash looking for... whatever, and THEY didn't find remains? SEEMS MIGHTY PECULIAR TO ME!

the case seems to be so mysterious - Germans, dreaming of bananas some years before going to death valley for the first time, minivan without any possibility to pass rough roads. Never!!! Something of Charles Mansons (isnt´s his hideout only 4 Miles distance?) must have come alive again.
After having spent about one year in death valley - no one ever would behave like they did.
Very curious how the things will continue
