Who was elected road commissioner in Claiborne County? Cave Springs Road has been horrible. Maybe they need some time to figure out how and when to scrape, gravel and salt the roads. But you would think after the third snow they would have figured something out.

The caves spring road is now kept in the best in years. Coleman hill is even being scraped and salted. Sounds to me you have an ax to grind.

You are crazy. Evidently you have not been out. They have put gravel piles along the road that are now covered with snow. Don't know who he is but he is not doing a good job. Didn't know the last one but at least by the next morning he would have gravel on the road. Scraping the road at this temperature makes it worse.

Fultz is doing a great job. Mike Sharp has stolen a lot of tax dollars from us. I know because I seen it ! Why don't someone investigate him and put him bin jail??

You are right! The gravel piles are there if we need them. No one, but no one has ever salted Coleman hill before. He has spread more salt and done more in a short time than anyone else.

This person talking bad about Fultz must have worked for sharp and didn't get hired by Fultz!

Exactly, we need them, use them! I feel like he gets paid to see that I can get to my job. Don't know him, Don't like him. And no, I didn't work for Mike Sharp, don't know him either. He must know somebody on Coleman Hill.

I agree that in my 65 years in Claiborne County that the road department has seemed to fall behind other counties. And I'm not happy that Hancock appears to be ahead of us. The caves spring road has always been bad in bad weather and will always be that way. I tend to stay home and I drive a 4 wheel drive truck. However, having said that, I think Fultz should be getting a pat on the back for starting to make improvements.

I think the new guy is really awesome! The winter before last, when I called to see if we could get the road we lived on taken care of, I was told that "if we can get to it we will". This year, he has made sure to keep that road and other usually (under Sharp) impassible roads, open. I called to ask during the ice storm how the roads in town were, and he asked me where I was, and before I knew it, he had the salt truck take a run through. He's the man that will get my vote in the next election.

You live in the country. There are hills . If you don't like it, move to flat land.

Your logic may work if you have money to just pick up and move on a whim. Most folks may not have the cash or resources to do just that. Road commissioners get paid to make the road in the area safe for driving in most weather. Since it does snow here from time to time, at least this commissioner is doing his job and keeping the roads open. He is showing that the former commissioner could have been doing this all along.

OK Mr. Fultz, it is time to shine now, the weather has gotten better so PLEASE we need help on our roads. I was so unhappy with the Mr. Sharp as I have written many things about him here on Topix, you can check it out. At first I saw much progress when he would show charts about what he has done and will do at the commission meetings BUT as others here have stated, we are dodging many pot holes and having to go slow through many pot holes as we can't dodge all of them, here on Piney Grove we have one area that we have to wade through the water with our vehicles (I think a tile is needed there), it is between the Bolden and Gibson residence. You seem to do better than Sharp but NOW is the time, let's get going Fultz.

If you live north of the river Fultz will take care of your roads. If you live south of the river you will not get any help.

We voted Sharp OUT with the hope we'd get a fair person. Seems like we got screwed again.

When will people get the picture.... The government is broke and getting worse... People don't want tax increases, want their potholes filled, want better education, better law enforcement, meanwhile entitlement programs grow, special interest groups want their fair share, government corruption & lying for votes is no big deal.... Learn to take care of yourselves. The United States has seen its best days and they're gone.
