Lets see:

There was something wrong with the plane.

Two technicians come out and prep the plane for reapirs.

They come to the brillant conclusion that flying the plane (the one with something wrong with it)(in case you are as slow as these technicians) would be a good way to figure out what is wrong.

So they blithely take off (probably forgot to check the gas amongst other things) and proceed to crash the plane (the one with something wrong with it)

Makes sense to me...Of Course!

Darwin loves these guys.

First: Its the FAA not FAAQ
Second: Why does everyone assume a plane will explode when it hits the ground??

they were avionics not maintenance and the pilot should have done a preflight which includes checking the fuel status

I agree. What if the plane ran out of gas? Seems to me that the pilot would then be an idiot, not a professional (unless he's a professional idiot).

I agree that a plane does not have to explode when it lands without the gear down. What if it ran out of gas? What's left to burn? People are idiots.

Daily Horoscope for December 3

Aries

It's difficult to know whether you're being realistic or gloomy today, especially when thinking about matters dear to your heart. For instance, you might be concerned about the welfare of a relative and wonder whether you're making mountains out of molehills. Do your best to remain cheerful and positive, not bogged down in nameless fears.
