We can't leave the governing body to do it all. This is the problem in Ecorse--we are not self-monitoring, and everyone wants to blame our problems on everyone and everything but ourselves.
This city used to be grand; but because of many things, including the fact that people began to move out for jobs, it hit the skids.
I've heard the number streets off Outer Drive are quiet; the residents have block clubs and neighborhood watches.

The city recoups money from then taxing the newly improved property and the cycle continues. MONEY is what makes a community welcoming. Run the money out of town and you run the community in to the ground.

If you want proof go down to the Coleman A. Young building and look up all the lawsuits against the city since your mayor has been in office. Then look up the out come of all of the lawsuits and you will see that the city has lost all the lawsuits to this date. When you fire a man for having Diabetes and another man for not changing his police report because the suspect is a friend of the mayors then how can you hope to win. There is your proof, look those up and get back with wingswatcher and myself and let us know just how deserving the mayor is to all your praises (remember its your tax dollars thats buying these guys new cars and houses).

Besides, even if I were working for him or anyone else, I wouldn't defend for a paycheck. I ain't no prostitute in any way, shape nor form. Fact is, if I knew something was going down I'd be first in line to rat. And, I certainly wouldn't be online in a little forum for pay. I never defended the actions of the firings, re-read my posts. I merely stated what I have heard, and what I am witnessing, basically the condition of the city as a whole. I thought my sources were good, however, they might be concerned for their jobs, I dunno why they told me what they did.
but one thing I do know--I knew folks who worked for Salisbury before, in the cab shop, etc. as well as now. He does care about the people in the community. Don't know what is going on with the cops, I haven't a clue and cannot even fathom to guess. If you read the posts I made in the other threads, you'll see where I stand. No point in repeating it.
I'm not here to make personal attacks, I'm here for what I believe. Sometimes belief can change, with evidence.
However, because you are supposedly a cop, and up until this last post (you) made perfect sense, you had me wondering what is up. Go back and read the thread on ordinances.
And stop being so paranoid and thinking everyone in the city is monitoring you.
btw--is it true that you have cameras facing you in the cars?
