Has anyone got any facts here? Enough of the mudslinging rumors. Where’s the X that his sisters refer to on the Daily Commercial? Four years to get a divorce in Lake County? If I’ve done the math correctly, Mysinger was working for Sheriff Knupp from ’93-97. What capacity is he serving in? Why is this divorce case locked away (sealed) in the courthouse?

I find it quite amusing that Mysinger is promoting districting for Lake County. Having been employed with the S.O. for 15 years, I can remember that topic being tossed around for quite some time. And now "HE" envisions this for the County?
If I'm not mistaken, the community involvement was something that Sheriff Daniels was very passionate about.
So...does T.Mysinger have any ideas of his own???

What is this sealed file I see written about. Is this some type of past legal problem that Mysinger had??
I Think this should be dispelled by T. Mysinger himself in one of these news paper interviews.???

Now before all the hate starts, let me preface this by addressing the haters, this is not a personal issue, it is pure and unbiased as I am not affiliated with either camp. However I have done a ton of research into Tom Mysinger and current Sheriff Gary Borders, I felt compelled to address issues that are important facts that the voters need to be aware of. And before you all start spouting off, I can back up all these statements, can you.
Ask yourself this, how is Tom Mysinger a good leader.
Following the untimely passing of Sheriff Daniels, why did not Tom aggressively step to the plate and assume the burden and responsibilities of acting Sheriff during this horrific event and troubling times, who according to his literature, he is more than qualified. Why…..because he could not, he is not a decisive person, he is very insecure in whom he is as a person and a leader, he could not then and he cannot now. If he disagrees with this statement what has changed in his persona between the 14th of October 2006 and now. Watch him in the public forums, he cannot look a voter in the eyes either when he speaks or when he is a group of people he does not know, why, truly I believe he knows in his heart he is not capable of fiscally managing a muti-million dollar budget.
Why has he a Lieutenant for 15 years, that seems a long time in position for someone of his advertised qualifications, because Sheriff Knupp knew he was not a worthy leader, and only after a tremendous amount of internal whining did he get promoted, why, so he could retire out with his high five being increased. Why did Sheriff Daniels not promote him when he was elected to a vacant Major position? Because again a Sheriff knew he was not a worthy leader. He was in turn, placed in a position where he could “ride the coattails” of Cecil Garrett.
Why was Tom removed as commander of the agencies evidence section, because of a huge drug destruction that was done prior to the case being resolved? Why was Tom, whom if you read his qualifications he most certainly should have been, not assigned command of swat when Claude Gnann retired? Why, because Sheriff Knupp and Sheriff Daniels knew he could not effectively lead this high liability unit. These are but of many examples given to me, some appear to be personal, however I implore all that have additional poor leadership examples to please add to this to educate the voting public.

Tom Mysinger in my research has always been a person who “rode the coattails” of others. What inventive program did he start in his tenure with the Lake County Sheriff’s Office, none. What fiscal management role did he have while employed by the Sheriff, none. Staff studies were carried out by assistants.
I challenge the voters; ask any employee that worked for Tom Mysinger what is their impression of his leadership qualities. Ask questions of these Deputies, they have the answers. Not political campaign staff that have never worked for Tom Mysinger, this staff is made up of a few very disgruntled employees, some employees that “have nothing to lose”, family members and friends along with a smattering of political wannabes.
Sheriff Gary Borders did shoulder the burden when needed post 14th of October 2006 until now. He continued and completed programs initiated by Sheriff Daniels and even improved on some of them. Remember he could have either stopped the program or reduced its effectiveness. He has since initiated many new cost saving progressive programs within the Sheriff’s Office to better serve the Lake County citizen.
He has empowered his people to perform and excel in a professional manner. Even though he does come the “jail side” of the Sheriff’s Office I have never heard of a example of him being a “know it all”, he has been receptive to educating himself since the 14th of October 2006 in all facets of the Sheriff’s Office. He did fiscally manage a multi-million dollar budget and to all accounts with great success. If you want answers ask 90-95% of the Lake County Sheriff’s Office who they support, that answer is Gary Borders, there is a logical reasons why they do.
This voters, is true leadership at its finest and what our county is entitled to.
Leadership traits, not words or BS “qualifications”, speaks volumes of one’s true ability and passion to lead this agency into the future.

Speaking of comments that were made by "be informed" Little do you know Tom Mysinger could not take the position of Sheriff when God rest his soul Sheriff Chris Danield passed away. The Gov. had to go down the chain. The first person that was offerd the position "REFUSED" so Gary Borders was next in line so therefore Tom Mysinger did not have the option. Joe Blow out of street patrol cant say "oh I will run the office" Tom Mysinger is a very humble man. When he talks to ANY voter he looks them straight in the eye and gives them the honest truth. He is the man that will get our county back on track. He is truly worried about the drug activity in our county and the crime rate. If you would notice only approx 20 people are getting arrested a day, and that is the lowest number ever. That is because the officers are not being watched close enough, and not doing a very good job at catching the law breakers. Also, If you would look at the LCSO background that Tom Mysinger has it stands out. He has the background of a LEADER. You people can bicker back and forth as much as you want, but that will not change voters minds. You can check Tom Mysingers work history at www.mysingerforsheriff.org and also to speak of the "sealed file" ANY OFFICER regardless of rank has there info sealed for security purposes. Same thing for there home address and phone number. Otherwise some crazy person could find them and possibly target them. That is why it is "sealed"

If it is "BS" qualifications then why do you think that the canadate that is a "threat" has the background to run our county? not just slam a jail cell. This is a free country people are free to make there CHOICE. THE REPUBLICAN VOTERS WILL SPEAK ON VOTING DAY BUT THE DEMOCRATS WONT! I speak the truth and people should watch what they say because GOD SAYS THAL SHALL NOT JUDGE. You can speak your mind and you have that right because of the 1st ammendment, however in the end we all will be faced with explaining our actions. May God Bless our country and our Canadates. It makes me sick and right now I am sorry I have lived in a County for 40 years, with such VENOM spitting low down snakes.

First and foremost, the Lake County Sheriff's Office already has stability under the leadership of Sheriff Gary Borders. The sheriff's office is the best its been in years. If you want to see instability vote for Tom Mysinger. As far as the the belief that the department is antiquated you could contribute that to the past leadership of the agency, such as Mysingers. Change does not happen overnight. The sheriff's office is in the process of decentralization; however, it takes taxpayer money and a thorough understanding of the budget. Something Mysinger does not have. And how could he require deputies to do things during their off duty time? Statements like this confirm a lack of thought process. First of all, one should encourage community involvment. Second, if you require it, how are the deputies going to be compesated for their time. As you should know, under Garcia (its a law), if you require it you have to pay for it. Tom, citizens want crime reduction and they really don't care what deputies do with their off duty time. I would hope that they were with their families trying to reduce some of the stressors of this career. If any citizens have any doubt about Mysinger's sincerity, just talk to him or attend a debate. It's hard to trust someone that won't look you in the eyes when you talk to them.

I was also informed that when one of Borders' campaign supporters was addressing residents in Umatilla, the supporter was shouted down, followed and cut off by a Mysinger supporter while traveling on the roadway. Yet, you have the audacity to call Borders supporters vicious.

Hmm...funny I was at that Fish fry the entire night yet the only drinks I found were iced tea and water, and no I did not observe any drunks in the crowd. That's the first event you've made BS up on, where I have actually been present which casts doubt on the rest of your posts.

On the incident, no it was not at the fish fry, and would you people make up your mind. You complain because residents ask supporters if they work at the SO, and when they answer the question, you are not happy because they let they voter know that they are a deputy, even though the voter asked the question.

Next thing you think campaign supporters that are lcso employees should spring into action and make an arrest. Make up your mind.

Wow, I don't recall mentioning who I was supporting, but it looks like you have some issues. I'm sure Mysinger is happy to have you on his side. Good luck with that, I'm sure you are the type of person he would be surrounded by. Irrational and hostile.
