I'm sure the air is going be full of seaplanes landing in NowhereVille. Like someone would ever, ever land in Tavares when they could go to Mt. Dora. You usually land at a destination...which Tavares is not and never will be.

One of the best fishing lakes to fish in the area and now you will have to watch out for some cracy nut trying to land a plane , how many accidents or near accidents are there going to be.

Why not have a landing strip where the fishing is not as popular.

I do not think that it will be a very successful venture for the sea plane landing, it will not produce any kind of revenue for the area, there have to be more interested people than I have talked to.

I read that the Tavares City manager is spending money like its growing on trees over there. I guess the taxpayers don't care.

Dumb move.

Probably need the Seaplane to fly in more suckers to Tavares to give more deposits to Robbie Cunningham's Boat Bulding Company (Or lack Of) and get ripped off.

I guess none of you are pilots? Also, i live in Mount Dora and I think that Tavares is a nice little town,I just had lunch there today while I was out water skiing.I am also a seaplane pilot and think that what they are doing is a great idea and it will bring in buisness. I will use there seaplane base weekly and i am sure that other pilots will also. Lets quit being so negitive about new things guys?

Wait until the people a get new TAX appraisals done on their homes in Tavares there will not be any money left for a sea plane port. They cannot afford police protection now with their over priced home TAX appraisals.

If the Seaplane idea is anything like the rip-off tour boat that Robbie Cunningham with Trident Florida Trading Company LLC did. The taxpayer will foot the bill for another flop. Actually the Seaplane is being assembled at Robbie's shop in Tavares where he has ripped off others for at least a million dollors now. FBI, Lake County Attorney, State Attorney, have all been contacted about this crook. He has a lot of connections and gets away with fraud for years now.

For the record, general aviation, land based or water based will bring business to any community... even Tavares. For those complaining about taxes, I agree, make sure you get the most bang for your buck. Whatever you do don't tear down any more tax paying businesses to build non tax paying government buildings! I don't know if a seaplane base is the answer but when I competed in the Dragon Boat Races and attended the classic boat show, I thought this waterfront is way under utilized.

Bill, MOST pilots are required to spell correctly, and are not crazy nuts. There will be less accidents than with boaters like you. Thanks for the support though Richard....

Kyle, I landed in the lake today looking to buy a $50 dinner...wish it was there already..believe that is income...could have used some gas also..$5 a gallon...

Just checking...retards call others retards...do a checkup from the neck up on yourself while your just checking..

captain MIKE...should put a rein on the drunk jet ski drivers in Lake Weir...they are a hazard everytime I land there to eat at Gator Joe's..one raced right into my takeoff path on purpose last time I was there...Maybe it was you...dont like seaplanes in your back yard do you...

For you non pilots....our seaplane fly-ins can produce thousands of dollars of revenue from a single event through purchases and taxes...maybe we should get rid of the baithouses and marinas while we at it...

Are you serious, Im sorry that me and 99.9 percent of Lake county dont have the means to own a seaplane. I guess you are one of the lucky ones, But you are not going to effect the economy in Tavares. This will be a wasted venture for Tavares(not the first).

The great and mighty seaplane owner's will have one event per year that might pay for the docks that you will destroy. Great Idea!

Oh, I almost forgot, seaplanes do not have the right of way of boaters, sooo next time you get ready to run over a jet-ski i would think twice jackoff.

If Trident Florida Trading Company LLC has anything to do with this like building docks the taxpayers will get ripped off. Robbie Cunningham has ripped off others for over 1 million dollars.

Daily Horoscope for December 26

Virgo

Mercury is turning retrograde at just the right time, because it's telling you to consider the validity of your long-term aims and aspirations. If they stand about as much chance of seeing the light of day as you do of winning the Lottery, then you need to streamline them or even abandon them and start again. So think about what you want from life and how you're going to get it. Children and romance may be quite erratic during this phase.
