looking for a good daycare, what about 1st Baptist Church?

Hi I'm looking for a daycare and I heard that 1st Baptist church in town is good. I think is is called Sonshine Daycare. Anyone know anything about it?

I know the director of the daycare, Nancy. She is an outstanding person & I worked there about 9 yrs ago. I would highly recommend Sonshine for your little one(s).

Both of my children went to Sonshine Daycare from birth until they started Kindergarten. I wouldn't send them anywhere else. Nancy Lawson is a terrific person and daycare director. |

My son went there for several years and I can't say enough about what excellant care he got. Nancy, Casey, and the staff are the most caring people who actually gets to know your child. I'm wondering who yep is because my son who is now 8 went there from the age of 6 months till he was 4.

its an excellant day care.

its good but more a daycare than a preschool.

I worked mostly with Carolyn in the 2 yr old room. At that time Marsha was with the 4 yr olds. I filled in every once in a while but I don't remember him. Sorry.

Memorial Education Center has an excellent program.

I was pleased with 1st Baptist when my youngest one went there. My other two were too old to go there so after school let out we had to change to Fist kids at the methodist church. Which was my all time favorite daycare and between my brother and sister and I we looked at almost everyone in town. All of our kids went there for years and trust me we ALL don't agree on much. But I don't know if they are still doing the daycare, heard they had some problems with the directors ..uh financial management. Good luck with finding a daycare thoughy.

LOVE Sonshine!!! Both of my kids are enrolled there and wouldn't go anywhere else. My oldest comes home quoting bible verses. I love all the teachers, so caring!!! They just expanded, so they may have openings now.

We've heard some good things about St. Patrick's and First Baptist but never sent our kids there ... we avoid all things even "churchy" by association.
We have sent three young ones through the Children's House, though, and have nothing but wonderful things to say about them. There likely are many good ones here in the community ... dependent on your own situation, location and preferences. And the Children's House is clearly one of them! |
