I thought a couple of years ago Tarkio received allot of money for the college in Tarkio. I seen the article in the paper and then all of sudden you heard no more about it. Where did this money go? What are the plans for this money? It's a shame that Tarkio doesn't do something to improve the town. It is running down and there are nothing there any longer to keep people there. Also, if you get on the internet you will find that Tarkio is the worst town to drive through if you are an outsider. If you want a ticket just drive through Tarkio. I remember years ago Tarkio was a nice little town and actually had something there. Why aren't the residents of Tarkio wanting more for their town? Maybe we need a new mayor? She doesn't seem to be doing her job, and half the time she isn't even in town. Am I the only one feeling this way?

They did get lots of money but some pot smoking UFO captains stole it all and used it to pay for brain probes of the US politicians. Not finding any intelligence in the United States Government they headed back to area 51 to play cards for another decade.

For the record the city of Tarkio never owned the college. They received for funds for it. Dont know where you got your information. But as for the mayor I totally agree, the woman hasnt a clue.

I realize that they never owned the college but this was a grant if I'm not mistaken and this money was to re-open the college into something to bring more revenue into Tarkio. It was received but where is it???? Isn't anyone curious where this money has gone??? This is a serious issue!!!!

I'm not for sure what you are referring to as far as a new building in Mound City? But since you mentioned Mound City they sure have a lot more to offer than Tarkio. This is a sad situation and I really feel that it needs to be opened up. Tarkio needs this very badly and it should of been taken care of by now.

They didnt receive any "funds"......They won a lawsuit against CSC and YSI for damages and breach of promise. It was not allocated to open the college. The people that won the lawsuit can basically spend it any way they want. It did not come from the state or any governing body. Im sure that a large share of the lawsuit went towards legal fees

Here Dumba$$.....Ive been dead for over a hundred years and even I can use Google. Honestly....they can use the money for whatever they want. I imagine that its setting in a bank drawing interest until they can figure out what they want to do with the college.Maybe they spend it all on hookers and slotmachines....who cares. Its thier money
Here's the article:
"The owner of the campus, Heartland Educational Institute, has recently reached a $4.4 million
dollar settlement in a law suit with YSI of Missouri, YSI International, YSI of Delaware, YSI Holdings, and CSC, for damages that these
entities were liable for to the property/facilities in Tarkio. Of the $4.4 million dollars, Heartland Educational Institute
will net approximately $1,812,500 after all expenses and attorney fees have been
paid."

Daily Horoscope for May 23

Virgo

You have a very high opinion of a certain person today, believing that they can do no wrong. But how realistic are you being? It looks as though you're viewing the world through rose-colored glasses, which is fine if it's only a temporary state but quite another matter if you're deliberately ignoring problems and pretending that they don't exist.
