We as adults must set the example for our children, so they will have morels and values and want to respect the town they live in, at the valley game the other day more parents were making trouble then the kids. Wanting to stand there and smoke, and demand that the get back in free because they had to smoke, come on people were is the home training coming from if the adluts cant act right?????

It doesnt matter wheather we agree with the law or not, the law is the law.... if we cant teach our kids to respect the simplest law as not to smoke on school property, then then why not steal the gas thats to high in our "free" world??? Education may be your answer!!!!!! |
||||
Strict enforcement of questionable rules engenders a distrust of authority. Perhaps a more reasonable re-entry policy would have provided a more teachable moment. I'm not sure I see how stealing gas relates. |
||||

the point is not the re-entry, the point that the no smoking policy is already in place should make any adult follow the rules, if you cant show your children that the smallest of rules should be followed how will the follow the major ones. Just diagreeing with a policy dosent make you right in breaking it......

Smoking is a foul, bad for your health and those around you and is indicative of uneducated and lower class people. |
||||
My point had nothing to do with the merits of smoking. It related to enforcement of an unreasonable rule. And I choose not to dignify your pejorative characterization of smokers with a response. |

I don't think its fair to categorize smokers in a negative light but do think that it is my right as a nonsmoker to breathe clean air indoors and outdoors.
I hate to enter my building at work because I have to dodge smokers and breathe in that killing smoke. Its bad for the health of nonsmokers. Here is some recent research on smoking and its impact on nonsmokers: Study: Smoking Bans Cut Nonsmokers' Heart Attack Risk Studies from a new report from the Institute of Medicine "found that the incidence of heart attacks dropped anywhere from 6 percent to 47 percent after cities, states, or even whole countries like Italy or Scotland banned indoor smoking." I am a smoker and I agree that I do not have the right to push my dumb decisions on other people, my comments to begin with, was to say how parents need to teach their kids that rules are made to be followed and if we disagree with those rules there is a right way and a wrong way with disagreeing. Just to teach them to disregard rule, polices is not teaching them anything

DO YOU EVER HAVE ANYTHING GOOD TO SAY ABOUT ANYTHING" |
||||
HOW ABOUT THIS DID YOU MOTHER EVER WASH YOUR MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP? |
||||
Absolutely! This is a great country and would be even greater if people would take responsibility for the actions and stop making excuses for their inappropriate behaviors. |
||||
WELL I GUESS YOU SHOULD FOLLOW YOUR OWN IDEAS IF YOU HAVE THE COURAGE. |

This is a good example of a liberal nanny state in action. Just wait until all the rules that come out after they have govt health insurance
|

I do- do you! Before you can change a situation for the better you must come to the revelation that there are problems. Lets'take off the rose colored glasses and start making the world better! |

I am one of those prople who went away and got my education and then returned home to use it. I have never regretted that decision. When a class reunion or a parent's death occurred and the out of towners came home, invariably, they would look at me and make some comment like- "you never got out of here, did you?".
I always found that comment amusing. These were the people who were putting in their working hours at some job in some far off place and then were trekking home on their vacations to see their parents or other relatives. I saw mine, every day. When I went on vacation, I was going off to be somewhere really special. A job is a job. No matter how many bells and whistles they put on a job, you still have to be in a work environment. My son works in NYC. He's in NK for Steeler games, Pitt games, class reunions, funerals, weddings and dozens of other reasons. He has finally decided to just leave a wardrobe at home, so that he doesn't need to be constantly packing. |

HATS OFF TO YOU BROSE,I HAVE REGRETS THAT I DIDN'T STAY OR MOVED BACK AFTER I RETIRED.RICH=== |
