One can count on the press and the DNC elevating renewed attacks on both Newts perceived and actual sexual dalliances to dim his chances of Newt cleaning Obama's clock in any debate. So Gingrich had succumbed to human failings -- who amongst us hasn't? Big deal!

Without pointing an accusing fingers at some of those that peruse these shallow halls of discourse that are quick to accuse others, not because they are offended, but because that person or persons don't meet the conditions of their ideology over an apposing one that offends them more than any violation of social mores.

Where was the contempt and disgust from the Left when we had a president putting his DNA on a 'party girls' dress in the 'peoples' orifice...Hmmm

The main difference is, we have one that made an act of 'contrition' for his past sins to his family, friends and his new found church of worship. That action really ends up on the desk of the one who created us all, and not on ours; especially those that use it for political expediency...

I'll bet you had no use for Thomas Jefferson either. While he might have been an amazing, intelligent statesman, he was sleeping with and having children with his slave, Sally Hemmings, who was a half sister to his deceased wife. I've read that was a big scandal back in the day.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not a big fan of Newt as I have a problem with his immigration policies, but these personal scandals actually have little to do with the ability of a candidate to lead this County, and our options are not all that impressive.

Newt may feel sorry for his immoral conduct, although his actions surely don't show it. Be that as it may, it is up to God to forgive. However, why should the American people tolerate someone who has been so morally corrupt? The only answer can be that the electorate doesn't think moral integrity is important. That is pathetic considering that Newt has a strong backing from the TEA party. It only shows how far down the morality of this country has drifted. Newt and Mitt have quite similar platforms. The only complaint Newt can have against MItt is a challange to his integrity. If that is the issue, then Newt looses decisively.

He 'obstructed justice' by tampering with witnesses and helped hide evidence from the court, In case you don't know it, under our laws these are serious crimes and have consequences, not only for people in government, but the public at large as well....Wise up!
