You know I have the very same system put in by what can only be described as an aggressive sales rep. But not so aggressive that I didn't understand everything that was being told as well as every question answered. My wife, who will say no in a heartbeat to anything, asked alot of tough questions. The sales rep actually took a great amount of time with us without once stepping foot inside our home until it was ready to be installed. The wireless feature for contacting their monitoring station was the big draw for us. It even works well enough that the motion sensor put inside the house doesn't go off with our 2 small dogs roaming about inside. and yet will easily pick up a large presence moving, sadly myself in a not thinking mode. I understand the desire not to take advantage of our elderly, but I really feel this was not the case. I was asked on at least 4 different times if I understood the contract, and was explained 3 times how it works.

I know fixed incomes, and low income families will fin it hard to come up with the $40.00 a month monitoring fee, but that is all this cost.
