They need to put those devices ont he cars that will cause the car not to start until the payments are caught up. That way there is no need for scumbag repo men!

If the moron would have made his payments, none of this would have happened.

Will the repo guy get charged with leaving the scene? Or will it just be left alone cos it was his job. If it would have been anyone else we probally would have been charged with attempted murder or something like that. I thought the repo men were supposed to leave if there is a problem?

This guy is not a licensed recovery agent under Florida law. If he was he would have known better than to try to recovery collateral when the debtor objects. Licensed recovery agents in Florida must complete a mandatory, college level training curriculum before obtaining a license. According to Chapter 493, fs, an individual who is privately employed for a "buy here, pay here" auto dealer and is payed by that dealers finance company is exempt from having to take the mandatory training. Licensed, professionally trained recovery agents have been trying to have the law changed to require individuals like this to have complete the mandatory training. Many "buy here, pay here" auto dealers recognize the potential for liability in recovering defaulted property and hire licensed, insured and certified professionals. However, there are still those auto dealers that ignore the laws and rights of others and situations like this occur from such ignorance. You can be sure that this dealer will face a large law suit and maybe lose his insurance and bond, which will put him out of business. All this because he trys to save a couple of bucks by using people that don't know what they are doing.

This person because he is unlicensed should have been charged with grand theft auto or carjacking. They had no legal basis to say they were repossessing the vehicle because they had no right to do so. They intentionally deprtived him of his collateral and battered him with great bodily harm !!!

this person because he has no license falls under all the legal definitions of grand theft auto !!!!! or carjacking. This is a clear case of unlawful repossession just on that one point alone. It doesn't matter what happened if he doesn't have a license then he should be charged with grand theft auto.( he deprived him of the use of the vehicle without the lawful right to do so !!!! end of story )
Then he should have been charged with battery or criminal negelgience for running him over and not stopping immediately like he was suppossed to do !!!!!

To Michael Hunter- I can only hope that someday YOU experience the turmoil of illness and/or job loss that puts you in financial trouble. You have no idea what the circumstance was and no right to be so judgmental. Perhaps it is similar to my situation, I lost my job due to an injury and we got behind, hired an attorney and the attorney took 3 months to file, my car was repo'd while I was at the doctor. My 1 year old baby and I were stranded at the doctor with no way home and all my lawyer could say is oops! They filed the following day (Chapter 13 if you must know) But because they didn't file in a timely manner and I wasn't filed when the car was repo'd I may not get it back. We can't all be rich and stuff happens when you least expect it. Keep that in mind when judging others.

When they come for your vehicle..get the hell out of their way!!!!1
