The Law enfocement agencies of this country are here to preserve the safety of our loved ones and the land that falls into their region; but what happens when the police get "bored" and try to find things wrong in a small community like that of Nashville with a population a little over 3500 people. A situation like this just occured to a person close to me. He went to the courthouse to be with his close friends who were there to testify in a case. When he was about to leave town he was pulled over close to 2 blocks out of town due to the fact he was missing a side view mirror on a 93 Rord Crown Victoria. The police issued him a ticket for not having insurance. As they were letting him leave another officer pulled up made him get back out of the car and arrested him without cause. They proceeded to talk in front of the cop car and searched the car for ten minutes and had 2 evidence bags one w 2.5 grams of Marijuana and another was roling papers. My friend then proceeded to tell the officer that the "weed" wasnt his and that the car was clean due to the fact he had just cleaned the car. After the officers laughed at him they told him that they would let him go if he narced. His response "NO" The Officers left his car and took him to a different rarely used stationed and interrogated him for two and a half hours. The chief of the nashville drug task force as well as 2 others with him and three officers were yelling at him and threatened to throw him in jail for a very long time if he didnt narc. When finally let go they made him go to the hospital for a drug test both urinalisis and a blood test. My friend was never processed never techniclly arrested and when dropped off at the hospital a cop unknown to my friend told him that everything they did all the tickets and the interrogation would all more in likely to be forgotten about due to the fact he was never arrested.
Would this be the type of situation that you would want your child or anyone for that matter to have to go thru? This can be a devastaing situation for people that once never feared the law enforcement agencies of this time and even more devastating for the individuals that have to endure these types of situations. People need to make these stories known to the individuals that represent us on the govermental level all the way up to the governor and senators.
