If Otoe county would take better care of their roads, this accident could have been prevented! There were two auto/train collisions in one week, because of the icy country roads. It should not be this way!

These accidents occurred during the time period the road crews were employees of Otoe County. Perhaps the contracted services will serve the people of Otoe County better. BUT remember, last winter was exceptionally harsh with lots of ice. No one could have kept all the roads ice-free.

I am an Otoe county employee and I know the family well. We do the best that we can with the number of people and the equipment that we have. If we had more people, rather than laying people off, accidents like this wouldn't happen as often. My condolences have been given to the family. I'm glad to see that they are doing as well as possible with their loss.
