Ok, if this is posted in the Nebraska City News, why are you asking about Nemaha county? Auburn is in Nemaha county and as for Shubert, that is in Richardson county. Shubert also only consists of a few hundred people, the only thing there is the bar!! Nemaha county really has NOTHING unless you like to go to the bars. BOONDOCKS is a good place to eat and drink and SouthSide Bar is a good place to have a drink on the weekends. Southside is usually packed with people since it is a small bar anyways.

Southside...seriously?! That place might be a little bit intimidating if you're an outsider. The last time I went to southside, some big, toothless woman forced me to eat nachos (no idea who she was...and haven't been back since)! |

I love it! My God! It seems nothing has changed in Nemaha county since I was a kid back in the stone ages. Still boring, still the only form of recreation is to go out and get snockered, perhaps the method of getting high has changed but the boredom level seems to be the cause of a lot of it.

Please don't try Humboldt...We have a couple of women here we call sasquatch and wilderbeast and they really do think they are what the men want in the bar. Now thats scarey!

Yeah, nothing really to do around Peru. Or most of Southeast NE for that matter. But definitely watch yourself if your plates don't have the magical "44" of police-forgiveness. I got pulled over THREE times in ONE day for no front plate. NO FRONT PLATE?! You would think they would have something better to do, but I guess they get their fun by ticketing people who aren't from around here. A friend got pulled over for "tearing up the roads." IT WAS A GRAVEL ROAD! WTF DO YOU EXPECT? Oh well, let them have their jollies until they get fired for profiling or something. It's bound to happen soon enough.

Yeah Auburn is really bad when it comes to outsiders. They like to get your money when you buy stuff there but don't plan to stick around. As for the comment about Jeff L.- stay away from that one! He's a player!!
