How friggin' dumb! First off, in the area where he was camping, people tend to consume alcoholic beverages. Secondly, people camping in that area tend to lose thier clothes once in a while. I occasionally go to Sandy Ford just down the road, and there, these are common occurences. When your out in the woods, camping, why not get naked and have a beer? Especially if your on the Chatooga. I can understand the concern of parents that may have brought thier kids there, but the kids are now getting the impression that there is something wrong with nudity. Shame Shame Shame. After reading the police report, I am disgusted! The officer asked him if he would do that at Walmart - WELL THE GUY WASN"T AT WALMART. Government officials in Rabun County are crooked as they come, especially the judge. He's screwed if he has to face the backwoods, good ole boy, palm greaser "Bucky Woods". I don't even like Mark Musslewhite, but I think he's gotten a raw a deal.

Yes and im sure being drunk and mouthy helped him out b.. Must make your town proud to have your ex mayor running up and down the road naked as a J bird with liquor on his breathe camping with a woman who was not his wife. Yea! Stand up Guy! I dont know about you but i wouldn't want my kids seeing a grown drunk naked man. Maybe you should take some parenting classes. And if you had read this "police report" a little closer you would have realized he was arrested by a DNR Ranger. That would be a State official not county

Oh get real,This guy was not rafting. He was sitting naked in a public campground beside a public road!Im sure families and children were near by or passing by.Ive been in this campground also. You know as well as I that on most Summer week-ends the place is full of families and children. He needed to be removed/arrested or whatever.Maybe he is man enough to take responsibility for these actions. As a former community leader,I sure hope he does.

If you visit us,WELCOME.But please keep your clothes on in public places. This is our home.I would never consider visiting Gainesville and sitting by the pool at the Motel along side the roadway totally nude, regardless of how hot it was.
In response to the above poster. If you do not like our Judge,Dont appear before HER.Obey the law and you should avoid such situations.
You give the misconception that the Judge is a pot-bellied,tobacco chewing,red-faced red neck. This only shows your ignorance of the actual situation.
You are far more sterotypical and closed minded than anything you will find in Rabun Co.

River Otter, Whats your problem. Nevermind what you think about alcohol and nudity, the law is the law. The LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER who arrested him was doing his job ENFORCEING THE LAW. In case you dont know it IS illegal to wander around in a public place naked, regardless of who you are. Im glad we have officers in our county who will do the job they are paid to do, i bet you will be also when you need one of them for something. Did you by any chance have to go before the judge? Just wondering.

I cant help but to wonder if this guy got himself in any trouble in Gainesville and was given a SPECIAL BREAK by the Gainesville Police.Maybe he should stay closer to home next time he gets in a freaky mood. Its obvious he didnt get a free pass up in Rabun Co.Its quite embarassing when the more rural counties play by the rules more so than we do here in Hall Co.Maybe he learned his lesson.

Sounds to me that you have had an unpleasant situation with the Law Enforcement and Judicial System up there.Other places as well im sure. And if you like to get drunk and naked anywhere besides your home,Im sure you will have another situation.

This nut is beyond the reach of normal medicine. Get naked, have a beer, flash the kids, flash the adults, act like an ass....you sound like a winner of a man. First there is something wrong with nudity in public places. And as I have learned the majority of people who spout off about the natural beauty of a nude body in public, have the type of body that belongs in a potato sack in a dark room. Public means everyone, and if everyone there wants to see the river otter running around with his needle pointing, great go there, but unless you know I want to see you hang out with your wang out, don't assume I need the laugh.
And the campsite and Walmart are the same in this setting, public places. So Otter, do us a favor, keep your willy in your pants and your ideals to yourself.

Shouldn't this moron be hanging out in a rest area South of Gainesville instead of a campground.Im sure there has been more "pig squealing"there than in the public campground.I have a vacation home in Rabun.I love it and the people. No problems in 26 years. Please keep your weirdo's down there or send them to Atlanta.Keep them South of the Mountains and North of the Beaches. You people can have everything in between.

And NO its not full of naked people every weekend.Unless they are in their campers or tents.
And NO its not a park. Its a public campground operated by the US Forest Service. Its along side a public road used by people to get to their homes or vacation homes.
Ive never seen a naked person wandering around there in all my years coming to the area.
If I would have seen him I would have called the Police also.

I've seen whole groups of naked people in that park partying drinking beer and smoking substances that may or may not be legal. And it happens a lot!

I'm not justifying it, just stating a fact!

Actually, I have to agree with Walton, that park is the scene for much drinking, smoking illegal weed and debauchery. It is about time the Park Rangers crack down and get things under control.

I have camped there many times and I would not take children there! I usually go there with my girlfriend and it is a party place! But I haven't seen anyone naked yet!

Daily Horoscope for January 2

Scorpio

Something about your personality or appearance is drawing a lot of attention today, Scorpio. People insist on watching when you'd rather that they minded their own business. Your stubborn streak at a time when flexibility would be easier. Be kind to those with long memories, especially if you think you might run into them again at some point in your life. If you can't think of anything nice to say, don't say anything at all.
