Bush says Fla. needs McCollum as governor

Full story: www.legalnewsline.com

Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has thrown his support behind state Attorney General Bill McCollum, who is running for governor next year. Bush, the state's governor from 1999-2007, said Tuesday he wants to see McCollum replace Charlie Crist, who is running for U.S. Senate. Should McCollum win the Republican nomination, he'd likely face Democrat Alex Sink, the state's chief financial officer.

Alexandra Sink is a banker and will turn around and initiate a State Sales Tax and INCREASE taxes.

She's a TAXER...she will destroy any businesses seeking to move to Florida.

That means=goodbye jobs.

The only thing Florida needs to do is go back to the tax system of 1960. Anyone who has not seen a need for increased revenues in Florida really is not interested in Florida.

U.S. Rep James Sensenbrenner (R, WI) started a round-them-up immigration bill in early 2006, that the GOP backed and resulted in millions of Hispanic-Americans voting Democratic in the '06 and '08 election cycles -- found a cool site; Balkingpoints ; awesome satellite view of earth

BUSH REPUBLICAN TAX CUTS DID NOT PRODUCE JOBS
The US state of Minnesota is one state where the economic stimulus plan is largely being welcomed.
Iron mining is a major industry and source of jobs in the state, but as global demand falls, operations are cutting back or closing down competely.
Now the stimulus plan pledges billions of dollars to infrastructure projects - giving Minnesotans hope that the need for iron and steel will get miners back to work again, as Al Jazeera's Lucy Keating discovers.

Outsourcing American Jobs and How it Hurts the U.S. Economy
Under Bush Republicans --Call center jobs, back-office administrative work, software programming and other white collar jobs move to indiana!
under a REPUBLICAN PRESIDENT Outsourcing in the United States began in the 1980s July 14, 2008 by The Towni
As pioneer companies in the United States and other western nations began experiencing success with outsourcing in terms of the economy and their businesses, other industries and businesses began to establish operational branches abroad. The core industries that currently utilize outsourcing include phone-based customer service relations, production of material goods (such as clothing, shoes, and car parts), and accounting (Shao & Smith David, 2007). Despite its popularity as a 21st century business practice, outsourcing jobs to foreign countries hurts the U.S. economy, directly and indirectly (Hay & Fricker, 2004). Menial and technological jobs that are outsourced contribute to unemployment in the U.S., while foreign students who come here to study for degrees are returning to their home countries, where increasingly attractive employment packages are offered as incentives.
Why do Republicans believe the RICH create jobs when that is actually 90% FALSE? BY:Rico
Jobs are created by supply and demand. When there is a demand for something... jobs are created.
Rich people or big Corporations only create new jobs when the demand for THEIR goods or services goes UP.
Supply and demand has nothing to do with how much taxes CEO's pay... nore does it change their ability to hire more people.
Jobs are also created by the Government when they need to develop things and build the infrastructure.
Why don't conservatives DO RESEARCH about topics they like to argue?

REPUBLICAN PARTY SOCIALISM OR WHAT?
n 2003, President Bush and the Republican Congress enacted a Medicare prescription drug expansion. It was originally expected to cost $400 billion, but just two years later the cost was revised upward to $1.2 trillion.
In 2006, Republican Massachusetts Governor Mitt Romney supported and signed a bill that required all residents to purchase health insurance, and increased state health insurance funding.
In 2007, Republican Texas Governor Rick Perry issued an executive order to force sixth-grade schoolgirls to receive HPV vaccinations.
This year, congressional Republicans put forward the "Patients' Choice Act of 2009," which would increase federal government spending and control of health care in a variety of ways.
The Libertarian Party has put a poll on on its home page to allow voters to choose which Republican plan is the most hypocritical.
Redpath said, "Republicans are living in glass houses when they complain about the President's health care plans and the bills in the Democratic-controlled Congress." (BY:Wes Benedict)

lmao. Florida will never have a state income tax. It has to be voted by the citizens. Alex Sink is very astute with money and she is honest. Just because someone is a democrat does not make them irresponsible with funds. That is an unfair generalization. Look at all the money GWB spent on Iraq, in an unprovoked war based on lies, not to mention faith based initiatives... basically welfare for the churches.

Well, let's see.
Under Jeb Bubba Bush, my homeowners insurance was
$4800.

Under Crist, it's $2200.

Under Jeb Bubba Bush, my property taxes were $5000

Under Crist, it's $3500.

In other words, I don't give a ratsazz what Bubba says. His opinion is worthless, much like his entire family. WORTHLESS.

Agreed and if Crist were smart he would change over to the democrat side. GOP will vote him out in primary because they keep moving to the far right. Rubio will get backing. If Crist re-emerges as a democrat. We would gladly make a deal and he will be the next senator. If Crist does not take the deal. Rubio will lose Senate seat because I can see Crist supporting the dem like the lady from district 23 in upstate Ny.

If your property values went down, your taxes should have been automatically adjusted like ours were. Most homes in Fla. lost between 20-30% of their value. Go to the Tax Collectors office and demand that your home be re-evaluated. Unless you are selling in the near future, don't worry about the lower home price. It will go back up....eventually, along with the taxes.

There have always been rumors that Crist is gay. If Rubio is the chosen one, the GOP will leak the secret. At that point, Crist would be a fool not to switch parties. He really is a hard worker and did a lot for the state. The GOP should stick with him BECAUSE he's a moderate and actually gets things done instead of miring the state in ideology that doesn't apply to all citizens.

For the most part, I like him. His willingness to drill for oil off the coast is a really bad idea, imo, and his backing of the Muslim girl who converted to Xtianity whose father threatened to kill her, was WAAAAAAAAY too reminiscent of the Schiavo disaster. I really think he did those things just to appease the very angry base, not because he thought it was a good idea, but because it was good politics.

Daily Horoscope for December 24

Aries

Christmas Eve finds you happy and eager to get the most out of the day. You're in a rather sentimental mood, so if you've got time you'll relish the chance to watch a favourite film, especially if it means you've got to get out the hankies. A friend's kindness or sensitivity will delight you - and make you wonder how you can reciprocate.
