What a stupid statement by (board member)First each owner of a condo has a vote and you are there to serve the Association ,You don't own anymore then your unit.The ombudsmen is there to protect all the owners rights.It would behoove you to remember that.

any updates on the outdated pet laws? currenly we can can birds in cages or fish in fish tanks for pets. i heard that there was a bill being passed around to change that law. anyone have an update?

the ombusman did a great job in our building. the old board hired an unlicensed manager javier rivera. he was fined thanks to the ombusman. the old board was disolved as well. great job. thank you

The DBPR and the Ombudsman's Office have no power.
They are a waste of time and money -- EXCEPT -- they give the owners the illusion that they can do something to make us follow the law.
The best part of the joke is -- they cannot -- thanks to Becker & Poliakoff and Katzmann and Korr. We ALWAYS WIN!

there is no need for any of these boards-if you can not manage your own home, sell it. These a______oles serve no purpose other than being a pain. Look at the money and time you would save without them. When it comes time to sell your property it would be mush easier if there was not bunch of jerks to deal with, or try and sell the new owner to accept. DEATH to all of them!!!

I wish someone would come in and take over our condo complex. With all those people who bought units and rent them most buildings with the exception of the one I am in cannot elect a board as there are not enough votes. It may be more expensive but things will be done properly.

Must be one of the A.....holes that supported HB 995 that allows HOA's access to the Ombudsman WITHOUT paying, as do Condos, Co-ops & Timeshare associations. Now,after overloading an already under-funded/over-burdened office, you can call it useless.
