I had a family member killed many years ago by gang violence. Can we get together on this? sopmething must be done. Our kids need to be able to go outside and play, enjoy themselves. They are just innocent bystanders, they don't know whats going on. All they know is that daddy dosnt let them play outside for a long time unless daddy himself is armed. I am no gang member, but I am begining to feel like one. watching my back everywhere I go, feeling like I need to be armed at all times. If we do something extreme to protect ourselves there is a chance we will get in trouble and ruin our lives and those of our families. That is just not fair. It shouldnt be this way and I know many people feel the same way. Let's end this.

i recently also lost a loved one his name is edgar gonzalez, just like this case where the guys got shot, the case is opened and no one has been arrested. I feel so fustrated because the police isnt looking for anything, its just another case on top of their desk, i say we do something about it.. delano need to become more of a community.. what kind of town is this where you cant even go into your own backyard without having the fear of losing your own life? its a great dissapointment to hear that nobody cares about someone dying in the community, unless its someone of their own blood. its really depressing to see that nobody care about what happends in their own neighborhhod, people sell drugs, and they kill, and yet nobdoy cares and does anything about it, all they can do is say "sorry" and let them go away. people like these need to be stoppd! and my respects go to the people who have lost their loved ones, like the one in mcfarland, and the others here in delano. R.I.P Edgar Gonzalez we miss you dearly. ill see you when i get there.

I live in Delano and have a family member who was involved with a gang is currently missing. It seems that there is a much bigger picture here in Delano and we definitely need to do something about it for the sake of our families, our kids, our schools, and the future of the town. Drug dealers, gang members, and ex-cons live all around us in our neighborhood and it's getting scary. And we're tired of it. I wish karma worked a little faster...

my prayers go out to your family that has to go thur something like this. i know that there is a bigger deal going on here in delano and beleive me its not hard to see whats going on, you see it all starts off with drugs. that to some people is the next best thing besides p$#@y, as somedudes would say butn you get the point.now what a person dose next is up to them some people betrade others even their best homies or set them up drugs are evil i myaself did them and i never did or thought about doing what these fools do today for the next hit or bowl load as they would say. its immpossiable to stop all this bullsh@@ going on here but one person change could mean a whole lot to everyone cuz if that one person would of changed then mabey my brother would be here with us . and keepin it real we need to get our kids and get the f@!k out of here i'll be dam if my kids grow up here were the police can't even solove a murder case or at that catch a mo@#$erf#cker cuz all they can say is he gotta away. and for that othershit i hope that their enough room in hell for the cowards that takes a persons life and dont think that they have to answer to anyone. who knows some of them proably are. There is way too much vilolence going on in delano, and so far I havent seen anything being done. Now people have to live in fear because of whats going on. I think life is too short for it to be taken by someone other than god. I hope something is done quicly about this. Delano should put something together to try to stop vilolence, may not work but its worth a shot. Sorry to hear about the lost to the familys. I will admit I'am concerned of the communuity, and think something should be done. Rather it be the right to carry a weapon to lower crime rate like Arizona, or cops step up.

I new if that I put something on here that many people could relate to others would speake up. My brothers case has also gone unsolved, so what do we do? The thing is that people do know what is going on but are to afraid to say anything becouse they feel that our police departments can't protect us, they feel that the bad guys will get to us and either kill somebody or get killed ourselves. We know that our police are out numbered and maybe out guned, so we should work together and become one big number. If anyone has any ideas, let them be heared.

I have seen many cases go unsolved in delano, and I wonder, why isn't anything done? Somebody has been murdered yet nothing is done. I don't think anyone here would agree if they were murdered that they would be fine with there case going unsolved, as I sure wouldn't. I would like to see justice. It's sick to think, actually know here in delano that such numerous case's can go unsolved. Nothing is being done to prevent these things from happening again. It seems like this is just starting to be normal around town. I know I don't feel same out in town anymore, even if there are cops around. I know there is only so much an officer can do, but it's someone's life that is being taken away.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to try to put a stop to this viloence and crime please speak up. Lot's of people know about what;s going on but are to scared to talk or do anything. I suggest something should be setup and advertised on the delano record and refer people to this site as well as it is a good place to communicate for the community.

I agree with abc. Mcfarland is begining to have the same problem it is geting worse.something should be set up in these two towns and every other town around us. If anyone in law enforcement has any ideas please post it up lets get in contact soon.

SOMEONE lets bring these killings to the forefront AGAIn the "little Juvie PUNKS" that are in custody for PePe (luis) & girl on Jan 13 are up for beginning of prelim trial in 1 week March 14 & 15 . They MUST & WILL pay for this. RIP PEpE we will always fight for you !!!& justice

Well i have to say JUSTICE for those who sin and they should get the death penalty when they get locked up... R.I.P Cesar you are going to be with the people that miss you for life...Ill see you when I R.I.P. you will run the streets until we find justice because the investigaters really dont care about gang voilence they look at it like if it is a joke but jokes take peoples lives no joke.

On March 24,2007 I stood on my front yard later in the evening. I heard many gun shoots from across town. This is very common to hear. However, Delano is not the size of L.A. we only have a population of 40,000 people counting prison inmates. Today, March 26, 2007 I just found out that gun fire I heard took the life of a High School student in a drive by shooting. The only info the police have to go on is that it was a white thunderbird. I am tried of this crap!
