My big concern was that the local children not be excluded from the magnet program by a selective enrollment process. The district guaranteed that any local child who normally would be served by the school is automatically accepted if they go through the enrollment process at the beginning of the year like anyone else.
That was good enough, so full steam ahead and may the children develop a real appreciation for academic achievement by getting to better know their environment in their community's own back yard. |
