The town had an $8 million surplus last year, now over a million in debt. County, well nobody knows how much in debt they are, they say, "we're getting by". Look for both town and county property taxes to increase drastically next year! Nobody is paying taxes on a lot of foreclosed property, expensive property in Highlands/Cashiers area!
