Nooooo Not again... Well if you live near a fire, please follow the orders of the fire department/forestry who ever is in charge near you. Lets hope it is a calm night, the wind actually stoped about an hour ago here, rather calm and very hot out. Seems like earthquake weather

Sorry Rebecca, climate change doesn't have anything to do with it. We have these fires every once in a while. I've lived in the area a long time and this is nothing new. Al Gore needs to concentrate on his top priority... finding and destroying MANBEARPIG...

The Nethercutt and San Sylmar are a long way from the fire area and not near any brush areas.

The mobile homes are gone due to packing them in like sardines.
Lower density solves lots of problems. Better water availability, less traffic, fewer fire problems.

My parents live in Oak Ridge. This is a community of about 600, primarily seniors (including my parents). So yes, at their age they're going to have to start all over. The loss of their home plus so many others makes me absolutely sick to my stomach and heartbroken.

And btw, for those of you who feel the need to make snarky remarks, please remember these families before you hit the "post comment" button. There are families who are reading this for ANY news and don't need the OT remarks.

LOL I can't believe anyone has yet to comment on the manbearbig comment!
It's more like a bearmanpig anyways.

So far, I'm not sure what areas are getting burned. I live about 3 miles away from the fire, we've been getting warnings since the morning, but a lot of the news about the fire are very hush-hush about specifics.

Please do not try to push any of your political or religious ideology here. I'd much prefer if you would appreciate how crappy of a day many Angelenos are having today.

So sorry for your parents loss. Is there anything I can do for them? Do they have a place to stay? I live about an hour from there but please let me know if I can help.

He wasnt. he was responding to a post of Rebecca's which WAS political. Rebecca is the culprit, not Dave. He might accept your appology if you're offering one? Make sure you read ALL the posts before you comment.

Daily Horoscope for December 20

Gemini

Grit your teeth as Mars turns retrograde, as things annoyingly don't go to plan. Certain people are going out of their way to be difficult. Is an older relative throwing the proverbial weight around and telling you what to do? The greater the gap between your ages or social status, the more irritated you'll be.
