Should state mandate immunizations? New requirements effective in July

No, did my homework and found that some countries ban some of these IMM due to the breakout of side affects.

I am not real sure where most of you are from, but in West Tennessee, the Carroll County Board of Education has made it a requirement for ALL students attending schools within the district to have so many types if vaccines; chicken pox, polio, etc. It has been this way for as long as I have gone to school there. Yes, your child can still catch some of these diseases but the school sends the child home until a physician okays the child's condition. I am not sure if this is a state requirement or not, just stating what I know for fact.

Now, I do think it in some cases it should be choice, however, SOME health care providers also require children and adults to have certain vaccinations regardless of schooling. They aren't trying to 'milk' tax payers money, just help control diseases within the population. And to be blunt, no one person is paying taxes to support someone's family. The ENTIRE state of Tennessee has taxes coming out of his or her check. Some family's actually do need government assistance and aren't out for themselves.

Also, I can actually picture some of you people freaking out when your child eats a little dirt or some type of bug just because of what unknown substance dirt contains and how nasty bugs are seen as. I am pretty sure no vaccination would ever be approved by the FDA if they felt it was deadly to whoever it is given to. I understand parents want to know what is being injected into their kids, but maybe you need to read about what is being injected into our food nowadays as well. Besides, its not like they are putting lethal amounts of mercury into your kid.

Yes, there are possible side effects, but are there not side effects to MOST things(tylenol, ibuprofen, cough syrup)? I don't recall ever hearing about a child that has died from a vaccine.

I would rather deal with a rash from a polio vaccine than my child or myself dying from contracting polio or any other disease from someone due to no fault of my own.

And just to add extra, I have been vaccinated for many diseases and have never had any problems with any of the vaccines. The state is requiring me to either get another vaccine or an immunization test before I can begin college during the fall.

Actually the state should mandate stool examinations for all infants and toddlers prior to vancunarions..worm larva are found in both insects and dirt..and as the general population of USA tends to raise animals..snakes..mice.birds.fi sh..in the house with their babies..I would think any intelligent person would recognize the dangers of vaccinating worm infested individuals..be it animal or human..this should not be a requested public service..

Because of the benefits far outweighing the consequences and the harmful side effects of the shots being rare they should be mandated by the united states government or your brats shouldnt be allowed to live around here,shop around here or attend any institutions around here.

Because the shots harm fewer people than the diseases the side effects may cause or be, i believe that the injections should be mandated by the federal government. If you dont take the injections you may only work at or attend a private community to live out your life in and only enjoy special visitation time in "the real world" with a federal clique that will insure that you stay away from those of us with scruples.

50 out of 54 cases tied directly to the vaccine, that's not so rare, now is it?

Seems like the vaccinations to prevent the spread of diseases to more good than harm to people.

i'm not going to follow your narc link. It's quite obvious to the vast majority of thinkers that Tb,polio etc are about as bad as anything and those things should be prevented and most avenues should be closed to those not on the wagon so to speak.
