Yup, pigs do stink but we were raised to understand their "smell" and similar smells of cattle, sheep, etc as the smell of money. I grew up in close proximity to the Pigeon Ranch and can only wonder what will happen to the house. Will farm "overseers" live in the house? Where will the hog farm actually be placed (the ranch is sizable). My family has very fond memories of the Pigeon Ranch and long walks from the road up to the house. I hope at least this new enterprise brings living wage jobs to the area and that native Nebraskans get the work.
