Maine High School Football - Buckfield-Dirigo edges Jay

The Dixfield football team has been separated from Buckfield for (2) years. The team is officially the Dirigo Cougars from Dixfield, not Buckfield. Just thought I'd give you the heads up.

The Buckfield Bucks have been kicking some ass.. in the last two years we have only lost 2 games and this year we are going for undefeated... im glad i dont have to play for Dixfield...

Easy drew, Buckfield is a smaller school yes your good but you play weaker teams, the people from Dirigo would just like the team to be offically Dirigo cougars since buckfield no longer plays for us. And BB is no longer good

The Buckfield football team deserves to compete in the championship. The other teams are to scared and won't let them. Just because we are a class D school dosn't mean we can't play sports

I went to buckfield and i can honestly say that we will never be a football school. Answer me this, why would a school consisting of maximum 350 students try to create a football team that takes away from the few sports this school actually does have?????

well if buckfield's football team is so bad why have they given up less then 50 points in the last 5 years?

Umm....Buckfield is a club and only play JV and Freshman squads.

Dirigo football is the best it has been since 1976 so don't be hating ok

Buckfield has had 5 straight winning seasons they face Varsity teams as well, they put their hearts out on that field to win it all. All they want is some respect sure they're a small school but I'ld bet on Buckfield in a gmae of football before I bet on any of your teams they had two running backs run for 1,000+ yards, one averaged 300 - 450 yards a game you can't just call that luck that's skil. They had a very impressive line this year that's all i can say but thier defense lacked a lot and could use some mprovement but near the end of the season the defense picked it up. They mainly consist of Freshmen and Juniors andthey still had a 6 - 2 season

alright. so seriously. buckfield is like the best team OUT THERE in there class. they have gone undefeated and just won there first regular season game this year. i would hope nobody doubts them because they have amazing running backs and an amazing quarterback.

beat a class A school that went two years undefeated and they also beat a class B so...they may be class D school but same athletes

technically, they are not 'the best team out there'.
they did lose to Erskine's Club Football team.
