One day they have drive by drop boxes. Next Day They are across the road....another day they are gone completely.

What gives? I work in town and and drop off mail at the end of the day. It was working fine the way its been for years. Everyone knew the traffic flow. I never had a problem in 15 years. Now not only did they take away the drop boxes, but the 5 min. parking on the street is "no parking" now.

That leaves about 5 parking spaces for a town the size of Summersville.

Nothing like the Federal Government fixing something thats not broke.

I kinda wounder if this is the Post Offices attempt to get back at the Town of Summersville for blocking the move of a new post office out onto Rt 19 area?

I do know its made a stupid situtation from about 4:00pm to 5:00pm each evening for the customers, trying to find a place to park and walk to the drop boxes.

Whats your opinion?

I have to agree with you. I take the mail from the office where I work every evening, and what was once a quick stop by the Post Office has turned into mass confusion with the potential for more accidents than ever before. I don't know why the change was felt to be so necessary, but it was, in my opinion, a mistake!

I agree with both of you. I have to go to the post office most mornings and every afternoon for my job as well, and trying to find a parking space is insane. At least when the drop boxes were across the road, there were a few more available spaces in the parking lot.
