Is Larry Tucker's Daughter the manager for them?

Pam Tucker Cline was temporarily overseeing the CVB after the resignation of Joe Cardullo. Not sure if they have hired someone full time to relieve her of her duties yet or not.

Overseeing? That's the funniest thing I've heard all day. For God's sake, her resume consists of the latest hairstyles and waxing techniques. She's merely the puppet who's strings are pulled by Bob Shafer & the Ferguson's.

Yes that is Larry Tuckers daughter. I wonder who was pulling strings to get her in. DUH

This confirms what I've heard about the CVB. Politics as usual.

Just heard this morning that Pam Tucker-Cline was named the permanent Director.
I guess since the citizens didn't want her as Recorder, her political buddies gave her this job.

Instead of being out campaigning for her Daddy on work time, Ms. Cline needs to work on making money for the city with Events at teh Armory.
A great first step would be to stop letting her friends and political cronies get the place for free.
The next step would be to replace Gary Withey with a new Board President.
Final step would be to replace entire board with a new and unbiased board. Out with the old, in with the new.

Looks like her Daddy lost his bid. Maybe she will get the boot now.

Apparently all that time she spent away from work campaigning for Daddy didn't help.

Pam Tucker Cline has no qualifications for the job at the CVB, I wonder how she got that job. Could she be the one that police officer was with in the back room of Go Mart on Broad Street? If that is the way you get good paying jobs in Summersville, I am going to move there.

What exactly are the qualifications for the CVB director? And you must live "there" to hear RUMORS of a police officer "in the back room of Go-Mart on Broad street".

Man you guys are bored and have nothing productive to do, do you? How many of you that cruise this site know all these people personally? I would venture after looking at the different topics going on, that most of you would't have to "move there" because you already "live there". Don't take for granted that people aren't aware who you people are. Take some of this wasted time and do something for your community.

I know each person that has been discussed here.

I live here and venture to guess that most other people here that post do too. Or perhaps they've left here, after giving up the fight.

I can't speak for those who've posted already but your attempts at intimidation are laughable.

How presumptious of you to suggest that because people speak the truth about an injustice that it means they are not doing productive things for their community. In fact, it likely means that "we" <the collective we> are tired of old school politics. The current election should tell you something about how tired we are of it. Apparently, you are ok with it and that's your right. Or maybe you just want to pull the covers over your head, jump up in a pile of clouds and not face the reality that our city is in. Better yet, you may be one of "them" and therefore don't want anybody questioning the old back door tactics.

Several comments have been done in a humourous way but the facts remain the same about this situation and several others in our city system.

Do I sense a little jealousy perhaps?!?

I am not originally from here but have lived here for a few years. I googled the accident that happened a few weeks back for a friend of mine from Charleston who knew the girl in the accident and just happened to look around a little. I just happened to be here last and post here. I have paid attention and understand what your gripe is, but I don't think just personally attacking people who you don't really know is very nice. And it is my opinion that, in most cases, the ones who aren't really doing much to contribute to situations are the one's who sit around...like this...and just gripe. I'm all for speaking for what you believe but it's not for what you believe here, it's just people personally attacking other people. And I would say that you don't really personally know them. It's like that on every forum on here. And I certainly wasn't trying to "intimidate". It's a little difficult to "intimidate" from the other side of a computer screen, don't you think? The election is what gives you a say in your government and if the election went your way, then alot of people feel the same way you do. If it didn't, then alot of people don't share your views. But don't think for one minute that most people in politics don't have their own agenda and don't favor people who are close to them, too. It's a "you scratch my back and I'll scratch yours" world, people. I used to go to the Cline lady's salon, one of the other girls cut my hair, and it takes a little bit more than just cutting hair to have a business like that for that many years. And now, those girls, are running a good business, too. So I don't think that "cutting hair" are her only credentials. Alot of people make it in the world without ever going to college. What is the injustice here? Sounds to me that maybe you do know Pam Cline and there's a personal issue there. But beyond that, look how you people took the accident that I googled and just ripped those people to shreds. And if a fireman talked about what he saw, shame on him. Losing someone is hard enough, but then for the family and friends to google this stuff, it just terrible to read it. Especially people who are acting like they were in the car, on the way home with them, and witnessed every second of the end of someone's life and knew exactly what happened...I don't think so. You guys can have fun with this all you want...keep up the gossip and good use of time here. I got here by currosity and won't waste anymore time with this. If this is how you spend your time, that IS your perogative. So there you go...ATTACK!

That I can't cut hair like her? Sure, that would be nice. She was good at it. Very talented. I could save myself a lot of money if I had that abilitiy. I don't have that job though because I'm not qualified to do it.

Am I jealous that she got the CVB job? No. I'm frustrated that she is not qualified for the job and was unfairly handed the position when there are people all over Nicholas County and the state of WV who have so much to offer.

This isn't about a dislike that I have for Pam Cline. I feel the same about anyone who is handed a job without proper credentials because they are in the good 'ole boy system.

I felt the same when Gary Jarrel was handed the Circuit Clerk position over Debbie, whom had many more years of experience. Gary seems like a nice enough guy but was it fair that he got a job that Debbie was more qualified for based on her experience?

The voters spoke and if the CVB job and others in this city worked like an election and the citizens had a say in it, instead of a handful of friends or political buddies, things would be different around here or hopefully, at least a bit more fair and balanced.
