Who is going to win it? I am for Bob Vaughan!!! Vote for him if you really want a change. He is the right man for the job!! VOTE BOB VAUGHAN SHERIFF!!!!!

I am for Bob Vaughan all the way. He cares for what he does and for the people. He loves working and getting to know the people. He is for the people. VOTE BOB VAUGHAN SHERIFF!!!!

I agree that Bob Vaughan is the best candidate for sheriff. He will be fair and treat all the deputies and the community the same, not depending on what your last name is.

I personally think Bob VAUGHAN WOULD DO AN OUTSTANDING JOB AS SHERIFF BECAUSE YOU DONT HEAR THE NEGATIVE THINGS ON HIM.NICHOLAS COUNTY NEEDS A PERSON WHO IS GOING TO TAKE CONTROL OF THE SHERIFF DEPARTMENT AND TAKE CARE OF HIS MEN.THE SHERIFF DEPARTMENT DEFINATELY NEEDS A CHANGE FOR THE BEST.VOTE BOB VAUGHAN IF YOU CARE FOR THE COUNTY AND THE SAFTEY OF THE PEOPLE.

I feel that the Court House needs several New faces. I am strongly for Bob Vaughn and feel he is what the Sheriff's Department needs. It needs a boost and I feel that Bob Vaughn will think of the well being of the deputies and the citizens alike. PLEASE, EVERYONE, FOR THE GOOD OF YOUR COMMUNITY VOTE FOR BOB VAUGHN. HE WON'T STAY BEHIND CLOSED DOORS ALL THE TIME WILL BE OUT THERE WORKING WITH HIS MEN.

OMG what is with all the Bob Vaughn love. What changes has he specifically stated he would like to make. Who is Bob what is his back round. Is he the court house maintenance man who wears the Freddy C. hat?
How about Lonnie Thomas. He is a good honest man with experience and a level head.

Bobby Vaughan is a retired WV State Policeman. I've known him over 30 years and he was always very professional and ready to talk to the people. He didn't hide to get away from the public. He really would make a wonderful Sheriff. I'm going to support him, for sure

The maintenance man is Ken Myers who is also running for sheriff and Lonnie Thomas is a good honest man? that is funny, he tells you in one breath he is a preacher and in the next breath he is cussing like a sailor. Lonnie was also hired as a deputy somewhere down towards charleston, but he flunked out of the academy...... is that what we want as sheriff? I think not!

Being a retired state trooper doesn't mean instant qualification for sheriff. Vaughn better have more to offer than his green bean resume.

Half of the state police are cocky perverts, and the majority cheat on their wives! And, it's just not state, it's city and county. If you wear polyester, you're God's gift to women around here. Spare Me!

Apparently you are very biased against any police officer. Bobby Vaughan comes from a good christian family. They are very close knit and stick together. He has all the training and knows what it takes to be successful at deterring crime, and he can also take care of the business aspect of the Sheriff's office. I am sure the morale of the office would go up. He would make sure the ones that sit their butt in the office and never go out on a call, would do just that. He has promised to take care of Birch River, Richwood, Dille, and the other plaaces in Nicholas County that the current sheriff doesn't believe is important to patrol. He has good ideas and if you would sit and listen to him, I think you would agree.

Bob Vaughan- Sheriff, Tom Blankenship- Commissioner, Tim Ruckman- Judge, Debbie Facemire-Circuit Clerk!!!!Then we'll see a change for the better in Nicholas County!

I have heard Mr. Vaughan speak at a meet the candidates night. He didn't have much to say. He didn't present any policy or plan for the office of sheriff. Does he want the job for the name or he just not on top of what is happening. Mr. Bennett has done a fine job. Those who break the law don't seem to like him .

It's funny how you say Wetzel Bennett has done a fine job cause from what I understand he really hasn't done anything that he said he would the last time he ran for sheriff. Just because Mr. Vaughan didn't have much to say at the meet the candidates night doesn't mean he hasn't been out there talking to people and getting the word out of what he will do. Obviously this county needs a change and it is nice to see that people are noticing that.

I have never heard of a police man being called a green bean. That is to crazy!! Anyway... I have known Bob Vaughan for 33 years and know that he is very qualified for this position. He has not only been a state trooper for 20 some years and also has served our country as well as our city as a city police officer. He has done security work, private investigating, raised a fine family,and will help anyone when they call for his help!!! Maybe Mr. Vaughan didn't have to much to say because he was letting everyone else look like jack A___. We know most of them are just blowing smoke anyway. Bob Vaughan is a very positive person and will stand by his word. Vote Bob Vaughan and you won't have to worry about people setting on their butts and not doing their job. He will be out there with his men and not afraid to be in the public. Everyone will be treated equal!

I agree with you. I'm voting early for Bobby Vaughan, Debbie Facemire, and Tom Blankenship.

Trust me on this. If Lonnie flunked out of the academy it was because he didn't fit in with the rest of the a-holes there. He is a stand up guy and i hope he wins.

Bobby Vaughan is the most qualified. Did you read his ad in the Chronicle? He will do a great job.
