I hear a lot about how MTR improves the looks and usage of our state. How the land is so much better than before. If it is improved so much by MTR please prove it. Post where you have gotten the scientific research and studies to prove your claim. I will need scientific data from prior to the first day of operation and once all work has ceased. I will need such things as jobsite names (several for comparison), topographical maps, complete soil and water comparasons, airflow and waterflow charts, a list of species of animals that live(d) solely inside the confines of the operation before and after, migratory animals patterns before and after, also a list of plants, insects, and single celled organisms before and after. If avaliable, I would like to have all of the same information for during as well. Also factual projections for future use or regrowth.

Thank you

First of all, you can do the research yourself if you are the one that wants proof. What motivation would someone have to do all that work to satisfy you? Second of all, you don't need all that research, just go look at a site for yourself.

They damn sure dont look anywhere near what they did before it happened. All i see is grassy hills, filled valleys with no sign of the streams that once were there and rusty colored water everywhere, compared to all the big hardwoods, clean streams, and beautiful valleys before they were blown up and filled in.Oh yeah...they do have brier patches here and there.Makes a decent place to go pick some black berries.

Certianlly MTR does eniromental damage,however
Roads, Wal-marts, cars, truck Atvs,motorcycles,lawn mowers,eletric power,shitting,
growing food, cutting trees, using computers and nearly anything else you can think of does a certian amount of damage to the enviroment, thats the price to pay for a modern lifestyle. Most (not all) eviromentalists simple like to complain they are not willing to give up anything If you have a real solution I would be happy to read it.

I totally agree!

If you want proof, go find it. Why expect someone else do it for you??

Thank you, but I have looked at the job sites myself. I think they are ugly. But that is an oppinion and not what I am looking for. I am currently looking for this information myself, but thought that those that were "in the know", would already have the information available and be able to help me.

right, please make comments pertinent to the subject of the discussion if you expect future replies.

If you ever get a second or two when you can tear yourself away from the computer, go outside and look where your house is built. Chances are that the land is quite unlike it was before you raped the land to build your house.
Then check when you buy gas next time and look at the raped land where the gas stations sits, or the raped land where the children go to school.

I got as far as the "we want electricity to be expensive" and that was enought for me. that's sheer ignorance. They can work on alernative sources without making everyone suffer for it.

That's funny, because his first one was only a warning about the behavior of some posters toward him. The others had been added by the time I posted.

Yeah! It's comments like this that "fuel his fire" and then we have to continue to listen to his "bullcrap"! If everyone keeps answering his comments and keeping him going, he's not gonna get a whole lot done at that so-called important job that he does!! LOL! Can we please just "turn him off" like a tv or radio and make his existence a thing of the past!
