Summersville- the land of losers

Have you seen the latest demographics for Summersville- average income is only $31,000, growth rate is in the negative, number of college educated residents is below 20%- sad- I guess that explains some of the comments made on this site. Glad I moved away and can just read this site to make fun of you people without having to live there!

Now that wasn't nice. I too moved away for 6 years and lived at the beach, but moved back to care for my parents. I agree that you can make more money and climb the corporate ladder faster, but is that everything? Have you forgot your heritage and where you came from? Perhaps you should show some pride in your "home town". Sometimes there is value in other things besides annual average income...... how about friendly and caring neighbors and the peace that comes from knowing that an entire town will pull together for you in a time of need. I hope that you have that where you live now. I hope that you will visit often and take in the beauty of the mountains and the lake and the smiles from all that you pass here. Be nice!

Since you no longer live here, then don't talk on our forums (you can change your name but your address gives you away). If you are glad that you moved away, then don't start a new forum about Summersville. Hmmm... I moved to Summersville in January, I have a college degree and I make well over $31,000. I have found the people to be kind and personable and down to earth, far from the losers you describe. You sound too immature to appreciate what is really important in life.

Summersville has its problems, the same as anywhere else, but we uneducated rednecks always seem to eventually get them worked out. I have three degrees and I live in Summersville because of the almost non existent crime rate and almost O pollutants and most of the people are unbelievably wonderful. The only way I would live anywhere else is if my job forced me to.

I think this is an obscure reference to the person receiving either a WV Works (AFDC) or SSI check in the mail. They always come on the first of the month.

We moved here to summersville only to find out that there are some of the most arrogant assholes living here. half of you are uneducated idiots talking shit for no reason...most of the losers have nothing better to do but sit at home listen to scanners and talk about others and their lives.. the women out here think they are hot stuff walking around thinking everyone wants them well guess what you aren't most of you don't even have a college education let alone a 3rd grade reading level or have a job...majority of the women out here sit on their asses and cheat like nasty little sluts and abuse their spouses money...get a fuckin life summersville inbreeds and mind your own business!!!! let it sink in jerks
