I agree. Most of the people who now live in Bella Vista do so because of the neighborhoods and housing prices. They don't use the amenities. I think all the golf, lakes, community centers should pay for themselves and REDUCE the POA dues and fees!! Maybe we need to start an insurrection!!

Just think all your POA dues is keeping the lakes nice for those POT SMOKERS and drug users that live in the Tiree Sub Division. They smoke their pot then go out boating and fishing on the lakes you are paying for. They even invite their friends to go along.

I suppose the only way for the non-golfers to get the dues down is to take over the POA. I'm sure Cooper will try some other evil plan to keep their servants in place. I'm perfectly willing to file a lawsuit if they try again to vote all of those 1 square foot "lots." I'm pretty sure that any court would set that aside. If the POA does not resist, it certainly is time to resort to legal action.

Billy your water bill is high because they have been diverting water to the Tiree sub division to irrigate the POT PLANTS, they are raising up there

The POA stands for "Property Owners' Association" its a fee that is charged($20-$30)per month to live in Bella Vista,AR...its ment to cover the lakes ,golf courses ,swimming pools ect. But you still have to pay to use them even though we pay the dues... The thing is that when this "fee" was started there was a large retirement community living here.. now that they have started to die off its all changed and a younger age group is living here that don't have time or don't want to play golf ect... Its just that the POA has run its course and there is really no use for it and the money that we all have to pay to it is not really being put back into the community.. even the bella vista library doesn't get help form it... its old school and has got to go.

Where is your land located ? Street, lot number and sub division..... depending on where it is can mean what it is worth .... since the ecomonic down turn the general rule of thumb is ...it worth about 1/2 of what you paid for it. The POA has been auctioning off a lot of lots lately and that has driven pricing down as well. I may be interested in it though

I live here in BV and pay dues, even though I seldom use the amenities (and the ones I do use are unrestricted such as the walking trails) I still pay dues. I knew the rules and requirements before purchasing my home, so it's pointless to complain.

My biggest complaint is the senseless rules and restrictions we must adhere to for the "privledge" of Bella Vista living. We must register and pay a fee if we own a dog, and if we want to improve our home's exterior we have to apply for building permits just to lay a small walk-way or build a shed in the backyard. We even have to get POA approval on the color we choose to paint our homes. Now since the housing market crashed alot of homes have been abandoned, and I see alot more dumping on empty cul-de-sacs.

Chong, if potheads are the biggest threat to Vistians we should consider ourselves lucky!

Daily Horoscope for December 7

Virgo

Enjoy today's lively atmosphere. It's great for throwing yourself into social settings and mixing with as many people as possible. You'll feel no hint of shyness or nerves, even if you're facing a room full of strangers. If things have been tricky with a near neighbor or close relative recently, this is a good day to sort things out even if you have to be quite tough in the process.
