In my opinion there is no place for these buggys on todays highways.their to much traffic out there today for horse and buggys. One day the politions or law makers. will get smart. And pass a law making the amish hire some one to haul them around.where they have to go.

Robert, In my opinion maybe lawmakers should get smart and make a path on the sides of some busy state routes for the Amish to travel on. In this area, Amish MUST travel on either of 2 state routes, just to get into town to go to the bank or grocery store. We have made bike and hiking trails for people who use them for excerising, but no paths for people who need such paths for EVERYDAY travel. As for hiring someone to take them. Believe me they do when it comes to a distance over a 25 minute drive in a car. "But, hey, Amish don't vote; so lawmakers will not consider a travel path for them."

Here in Holmes County, the amish are contributing to the state road fund to have an extra wide lane they can drive on to stay off the main hiway. Granted, you can't do that on every mile of roadway, but, listen, we have got to be aware of the slow moving vehicles, not just buggies, over the top of a hill. Suppose there was a little child playing in the road over a blind hill, you wouldn't be able to avoid that either. SLOW DOWN when you crest a hill or a curve. Plain and simple

Daily Horoscope for December 27

Libra

You're full of empathy and affection today, so it would be a shame not to spread it around. It's a marvellous day for a low-key get-together with some of the people you haven't seen during the past few days, because you'll enjoy having a good chat about what's been happening. Once your social duties are out of the way you'll love curling up on the sofa with a good book or a favourite film.
