In your opinion, what is it about Oswego that you like or thing is great? I am not talking about the Oswego of 1990 with 4,500 people that town is gone and not coming back. I am talking about the Oswego of today with 32,000 people.

Seems like there is a lot of time and energy spent on talking about what is wrong or bad in town..how about taking a few minutes and sharing what you think is good?

I do not live in Oswego but worked there for 2 years. I did like the town and thought the people were nice and friendly. It just seems some of the originial residents did not want the town to change and i understand that.I think most of the problem comes is when you build a nice walmart and people come from other communities and they bring in the problems. With any expansion the rif raf always comes in.

There are a lot of young working families that came to Oswego because it was affordable. I just hope they become involved!

What I like most about Oswego is we have "fed up too" on topix.

I just think Oswego as a whole is great. I do wish we were the small hometown we were in the 80's and 90's, but hey I know we have to move on. I do think we could slow down a bit with all the expanding, lets just have some breathing room. I have lived here for 39 years and I would never want to live anywhere else. I think Oswego still has some small town feel, the downtown area, that is what makes it so great, you get the small town along with the growth.

What I like about Oswego:
Dari Hut-kids love to ride their bikes there
bike trails
New library in Montgomery is AWESOME-little far away but hopefully downtown branch will be just as nice.
Prairie Point Elementary-involved parents and a principal/vice principal that will call you back for concerns!
Park District
New stores so I don't have to drive to Aurora
Respectful, professional police (fortunately I am an old married white lady, I haven't had the trouble others have experienced with the police)
Tap House Grill-nice atmosphere for girls night out or quiet conversation with spouse.
Hudson Crossing park
Band program at Traughber-Mr.and Mrs.Maxwell rock!
They have made it cool to be in band-which is important for those kids who aren't athletically talented!
Nice neighbors I can count on if I need them but aren't nosy/obnoxious.

While Oswego is not perfect, the positive definitely outweighs the negative. Have a great day fellow Oswegoans!(even the ones who dis me for not liking Obama :)

Maybe you two could meet at Dari Hut?
Or by the river?

Don't forget to wear protection.
Don't want any little "fed up too's" to be running around.

One is enough.

Daily Horoscope for January 5

Taurus

Everything seems to be getting under your skin at the moment, but this is no excuse to lose your temper, and you know it. Better by far to be discreet and plough on steadily, without looking to the left or right. If you keep your feet on the ground and don't get discouraged, there are definitely fair winds that will blow you along. It's just a question of finding the right balance between confidence and commonsense.
