Judged: 2 1 1 It's frustrating Kasich had a chance to make real reform in how we fund public education possibly even really do work on consolidating districts at the administrative level and other needed changes instead he simply punted the ball and is trying to give the cash directly to corporations in fairness Strickland also punted as his changes were interesting... but didn't touch the funding part until "down the road" AND gave all the power to the schools to basically name how much money they wanted from the general fund! some day somebody will take the issue seriously |

Judged: 5 2 1 Glad levies are failing tired of giving blank checks to schools to give fat raises to union and non-union enployees. My district is under good management we have 5 new schools in the past 10 years and no increases of taxes amazing what can be done with good management. BUT our teachers dont need 80000 a year and they havent threatened to strike either. My child still gets a great education in a highly rated school district.Sorry you have to deal with olentangy. My sis lives in pic town and has a tiny house and pays almost tripple what I pay in taxes for a house twice its size ha ha glad I dont live in pic town eithwer .Our sports are relatively free.Go Northern Local |

Judged: 1 1 1 in theory his solution is to take the money and give it to corporations with almost no oversite... I guess but this is a very much socialism I mean if it is truly a "free market" let alone capitalism the government wouldn't be giving them money! if you really dig down to real theory even the supposed conservatives like Kasich have become socialists... merging "private and public" or more correctly... putting public funds (you and my tax dollars) into corporations that don't answer to the public Reagan is turning over in his grave... Marx is smiling at Kasich |

Judged: 5 2 2 Great post moron. Very few teachers make close to $80K. Just because you make $35K is no reason to try to tear down teachers. I'm certain you are the type that complains about anyone making more money than you...oh those damn doctors, lawyers, bankers, sales execs...all overpaid fools who have no business making that kind of coin. Go away. |
